Read the Readme file!
Just copy the files from the latest patch to:

C: > Program Files > Steam > steamapps > common > Rainbow Six 3 > system folder.

If you don't have the steam version of the game the same thing applies just install into your games directory in the system folder - overwrite the old files. Some people have issues with the old cd version though so I suggest you grab it off of the Steam store at the Store Page link.

Its really that simple.

You will then see a few servers when you start up the game and you no longer have to login to ubi. It doesn't show whos online in the servers at the moment but that will be in the next update but I suggest you message some friends on here and plan when to play together!

Also install the .dll patcher, https://www.sendspace.com/file/ut4668 (blue download link)
just copy the file into the games system folder and open it, press enter.

Update your internet speed setting in the menu to T3 too.

If you have connection issues to any servers, make sure your ports are open. http://www.canyouseeme.org/ check 7777, 8777, 9777 specifically. If they are not open you probably have a firewall like Windows Defender or Norton or AVG etc make sure you add the ports and game to their exceptions list and also if you use a wireless modem or router they have their own firewalls too but look up how to Port Forward the ports on your router or modem. This applies to every game out there too. For example for Battlefield 1 I was only seeing 5 servers. So I googled what ports I needed open for BF1 and now I see over 100.
