Griffin, thank you for entrusting me as your leader. I humbly accept your nomination for president.

As president, there will be several changes within Griffin, all of which will better our great nation.

• We will begin to establish relationships with other factions to ensure peace
  
• We will continue to expand our nations territory and population across Russia.
  
• I will be appointing a governor to Russia as well as PEI
  
• I will be appointing a Secretary of State as well as Defense
  
• We will continue our path of peace, prosperity, and freedom for all Griffiners.

Hi I'm Sam Braddock. I am running for President of Griffin and I need your vote to help preserve all we have built. My opponent wants to leave it all behind simply to get a slightly better ping, a problem that is marginal compared to the plethora of problems we have already conquered and are sure to face should we leave.

Griffin is holding its first presidential election from now until 24 hours after the time of this post. Former president Rose has been offline for some time now and we do not believe that she will be coming back anytime soon. She will be serving as Secretary of State if she should return, handling diplomatic affairs.

Each member of Griffin gets one vote, to be cast in the comment section of this announcement. All comments on this post must be a vote, any comments about other topics will result in your vote not being counted.

This election has two candidates:
Sam Braddock
Mike Mackinnon

Each candidate will be making a campaign announcement if they choose to do so.

Should there be a tie, the election will be rescheduled for three days after the results, with the candidates having that time to campaign and persuade voters.

An election will be held once every 4 months, the next one scheduled for December 27th. There are no term limits.
