Hi all, empress veyr here, one year and two months ago I was given ownership of Gold Miners, in that time I tried my best to do what I felt was right. I pushed for certain rule changes such as admins/mods not being able to review their own times. I tried to create events and push to increase the group size such as the duo tournament we had recently. Maybe I pushed myself too hard in the end as all this time, eitherway; I don’t want Gold Miners to rot away into a pit of despair so I've officially given everything back to a (very) old friend of ours; Skyheart.

I had fun ruling over everyone but it's truly time to put my dictator reign to a halt. I no longer have the passion or desire for this game like I used to in the past two years that I was admin.

I hope you look back on my time within the community with fondness, and I hope the future is just as pleasant for you all. I hope Skyheart can once again keep the fire alight within the community.

I don't want to say much more so I'm going to leave it here. Thanks everyone, I hope you all enjoy your time with this game while you still can.

This months’ player of the month is none other than Envyy!!

Envyy’s time here comes from nostalgia of playing this game on xbox years ago and having a lot of fun memories doing split-screen with friends. Shortly after returning he got into mall survival, from there he ended up meeting gris (scream) who got him his first 30, and then went on to show him the different maps and strats to each.

After some time, he met a juggernaut of a mall player (blakanuse) who impressed Envyy and helped him grow as a player, even inviting him to gold miners. Envyy had developed a goal of getting a 100+ min time at this point, and his circle expanded quickly befriending players such as ZokkuZ, py, and Joshman KB.

His goal had become accomplished alongside his new friends, getting his first 100 and many to follow. As of this post he has 240+ CS Junkyard, 171 Terminal (World Record) , and 176 on Bus Depot (Drains and Sugar Mill he also has 100 done!). Over time he’s just been growing as a player and having a great time. :)

This month's Player of the Month is none other than s43ko!!!

The man spelled many ways began his career in 2008 where he would wipe his brother's laptop just to play Left 4 Dead, having most of his progress on achievements in 2009 but going dark on the game entirely for a decade. He didn't get into the GM / l4d2 survival community until after covid, when he met py (python) on public servers. Py helped saeko finish his last golds / achievements and introduced him to Gold Miners.


From there Saeko would take a big interest in duo/solo rounds, having the WR for Float and Barge. Alongside fenixch he has several duo World Records including an impressive 38 on Barge. Known by many, he plays a lot on public servers and introduces players to Gold Miners and is always helping newer players get better times.

For this Player of the Month, give it up for Sofield!!!

Sofi’s time started a few years after L4D released, he starting playing survival and met Mudda who then introduced him to the other euro pros. He’s one of the funniest in the community, always joking around; often he will spectate games and make players laugh in the chat (he’s been gagged for this ahaha).

His 9 years in the community show, with him being a monster even on 200 ping. Always having the commitment to get new times, not gravitate towards world records but personal bests he can feel good about. He’s been said to enjoy more difficult maps, such as Port (both), Truck Depot, Plantation etc. He holds a couple World Records including 190 on Mall Atrium, and 151 on Church. Everyone enjoys playing with Sofield, he’s a great friend and an incredible player especially for low res.
