Mouse Setup Guide for FPS

Chatting to some guys this week, it seems not everyone has set-up their mouse completely for First Person Shooters.

Here is a good Mouse Set-Up Guide (all the basics) which should be done:

Advanced: If you play alot of different First Person Shooters, then check this out too, it shows how to calculate your overall DPI:

Summary:

1. Critical windows settings
2. Important mouse DPI set-up

Example setting:

1. Ingame Mouse Sensitivity = 1.0 (ie Call of Duty --> open config file, change seta_sensitivity to 1.0)
2. Mouse DPI = 1500 to 2500

-higher than 2500 starts to sacrifice Aim Down Sight control/precision,
-lower than 1500 starts to sacrifice the speed at which u can turn 90deg left/right.

Remember: More DPI is not "BETTER"

Experiment with your DPI until you find your own personal sweet spot, but be aware that everytime you change it, you will need time to adjust again.
