[URGENT] Datacentre server migration

We would first like to start with the question.

Does this email affect me?

If you have any service’s (game/web/dedicated) hosted on any of the following IP range: 89.145.94.1 – 89.145.94.250

It will affect you, and we strongly suggest that you continue on reading this email.

If you are not in that IP range, then you don't have to read any further!


We are writing to you to inform you that on 16th of November all our equipment will have to be moved from our London Facility to a new facility in Hemel Hempstead.



All moves will take place between 10PM and 6AM, with planned maximum downtime of 6 hours per device. The moves will be performed by the Datacentre's own experienced staff, who have previously performed datacentre migrations for thousands of customer servers, and all equipment will be transported securely within Datacentre's own specialist vehicles.





Here is an FAQ on what this will mean for you:



Will my current price plan stay the same?



We will require a new Service Agreement to be in place prior to your migration date, unfortunately the prices of your dedicated servers will have to be increased in order to keep up with the pricing of the new Datacentre.

This ultimately means a maximum price increase by as much as £80 p/m to some clients should you decide to move to the Hemel branch.



I can’t afford to increase the monthly pricing, but would like to continue hosting, what can I do?



In this case we can offer hosting at our primary hosting facility In London Canning town, we will be able to maintain the same pricing, however this will come at the expense of your IP's.



What are the differences between my current London hosting location? And the London, Canning town location?



The London Canning town location is our new primary hosting location with most of our infrastructure being located here; it has excellent connectivity and all servers have a 1Gigabit uplink to our very own ten Gigabit switch.



The switches and router all run on 10Gigabit network; with a guaranteed minimum, of 2Mbps data transfer and maximum of 10000Mbps.

All this running on a 20Gbit Ethernet back bone (20000Mbps) offering exceptional data transfer speed and superb redundancy at peak times.



We have a lot more control over the network and can offer greater protection at this facility from any attacks.



There will be significant improvements on performance as a result of the new hardware.



As mentioned all clients will now receive a 1 Gigabit uplink to their machines that means a max theoretical download speed of up to 1000Mbps compared to the previous max of 100Mbps.



Another advantage of this new datacentre is KVM at a reduced rate of only £5 per 24 hour usage as opposed to the previous price of £30 for 24hours usage.


I want to keep my IP's what can I do?



If this is the case then your only option is to have your equipment moved to the new Datacentre based in Hemel Hempstead, this will however mean a price increase in your monthly contract.



Will there be any latency increase by moving to Hemel Hempstead?

The Latency from the Datacentre to the exchange points should be as was before, however they may be a slight increase or decrease depending on location/ISP.
