All things Gothic!

Before Dark Souls existed, the phrase "Gothic-hard" was a beloved phrase in the RPG community. This is fan group for those interested in Gothic and Gothic-like RPGs that feature:

A solid action/RPG blend
3rd Person/Over the shoulder gameplay
Open world exploration
Challenging game play
Compelling storylines
Memorable NPCs
Dialogue with plenty of personality

This group primarily exists to provide game recommendations similar to the Gothic series. Right now, finding those recommendations involves cobbling together multiple Reddit threads and forum posts (many of dubious accuracy, seemingly content to put any 3rd person action/rpg on the list). The admin has done his best to state a solid curated list of those, but suggestions for additions are welcome.

You should also feel free to discuss upcoming PB/JoWood game developments, or wax nostalgic about grinding scavengers, accidentally running into the castle too soon, or getting lost in Nordmar.
