How Valve greenlit games?
A couple of weeks ago more than 200 games have been approved on the greenlight, my new game was ranked 18# and has not been approved.
Today other 83 games have been approved, i was ranked between 20-30 but also this time my game has not been approved.
Why Valve makes a ranking if it means NOTHING at all???

Yeah I agree. That doesn't sound right. I've seen games get approved in as little as a few days. They reached top 10 within a couple days and were approved a couple after that. There might be a bug or other issue. I would contact Steam directly to see if they can help you.

It's a bit frustrating waiting months and months to sell a game that is already ready to play.
I would probably release it 1 week after the approving, while I have seen some games greenlit and setting their release date after 12-18 months, that's ridicolous, don't even publish the game if you still have to work that much for the first release, this push down the games that are actually done and ready to play.
This will probably be my last game here on steam, I have almost ready another game to release and they didn't approve yet the previous one even if is in top 20.
Approving 300 games and ignore a game that is ranked around 20# doesn't make any sense, and my time is not unlimited.
If you also take in account that after the refunds, steam revenue, VAT, US taxes, price lowered for many countries (RU players don't even pay half of the actual price), taxes you pay in your own country, you are left with a few nuts, this is not worth anymore.

I understand your frustration. If you don't get it sorteed out and decide to leave Steam what would you do? Make mobile games or do disk copies only? Or did you mean you'd be done as a developer? I would really contact Steam to see if there is some issue keeping your game from approval first. It might be a simple fix or it miight be something else. Hope they get back to you soon about it.

My last project it's a free to play game with shop via paypal, so probably that will be the way.

It kind of looks like you asked for votes on greenlight, is that true? Most of the comments read, "voted" and if Valve sees that you've been promising games in exchange for votes or things like that, they DO NOT greenlight games. Perhaps that's the reason.

I actually didn't bundle the game anywhere, while last time I did with my first game and I had the opposite situation (they approved like 15 games and added mine even if was aroudn 40 rank)
