After SL the chest was a little bit forgotten, but I found some things that can explain its function.

Let's start from the fact that if it appeared in the nightmare means that had a role, in my opinion was the origin of all the fears of the child.
Now most of us tend to think that the chest was a kind of toy box for the child, but honestly in my opinion seems a kind of suitcase (probably it belong to his father).

If the father was Afton and in that chest there were the project of the Funtimes(the blueprints) and photos of the room and Plushtrap's hallway?

About why Afton should have those pictures is very simple... we know that the funtimes were meant to kidnap kids... but why? considering the "Gas leaks" probably Afton and some kind of organisation kidnapped kids to use them like guinea pigs for some test and other stuff. If Afton wasn't alone (and sure wasn't alone) he had to gave to the other some informations ... like projects or photos.


But for some reasosn the child saw those picture and his fears and other stuff can be easily explained by this...

-The reason why the nightmare happened in those locations and not at his home ... simply the kid was shocked by those images... and the mind wasn't able to forget about those location.

-Fear for the robots.... He saw that some robots were able to kidnap kids, is normal that since then he started to fear all the animatronics.

-N.Foxy's endo is very similar to F.Foxy's endo ... coincidences or during the nightmare his mind remembered those detail? ;)

-N.Fredbear's mouth in the stomach... the kid saw a F.Freddy with a kid inside(the blueprints aren't colored so for him that bear maybe was Fredbear) ... now I don't think so unprobable that during the nightmare the mind elaborate those informations and transformed them... if Fredbear had that extra mouth, he would be able to eat the child and put him in that position more easily.

-Kid controlled by the Fredbear-cameras ... well we all think that Afton used those camera to watch over his child ... but if he used them to be sure that the kid don't reveal something to someone?
