CS:GO Group!

We are playing competitive semi-regularly now and as such roles would probably be a good idea. Luckily we have players who are good at different things so selection in't hard :D

These roles have been adapted from standard CS:GO roles as every team uses their own names and variations. I think these suit us best.


* FRAG - Treflex (Good agressive peaker)
* CLUTCH - Whisky (Follow up with Rifle)
* GUARD - Sloth (Rage inducing scoped weapon usage)
* POINT - Canaids (Great AWPing and Grenades)
* LURK - Mafia / Any (Much improved aim and teamwork)





FRAG

First through the doors. He moves immediately after the POINT smokes and/or flashes. This player is very aggressive and is very important to any push on the Terrorist side.

He will take a forward position on attacking plays. As first man through, his main job is to determine where he is shot from as well as if possible put shots on a target before his teammates follow through.

This players crucial skills are: Shouts - Movement - Peeking

His strongest ability needs to be : Skirmishing

On the defense he covers short A from crates utilising his movement and communication to survive until back up arrives.

Priority Equipment: 1: BODY ARMOUR + HELM
2: SMG / RIFLE 3: SAVING CASH





CLUTCH

This player is the second man in. He works very closely with the FRAG. He follows up the FRAG and gets to work eliminating every enemy spotted by the FRAG with priority being any enemies attacking the first man.

In the event that FRAG goes down CLUTCH is expected to trade. This is central. CLUTCH is expected to make FRAG’s diversion and initial fire fight beneficial to his team.

This players crucial skills are: Aim - Weapon Control - Movement.

His strongest ability needs to be: Multiple Target Elimination.

On the defense CLUTCH covers B on his own from bomb using crates as rotating cover and will call POINT from mid for support if B is attacked.

Priority Equipment: 1: RIFLE 2: BODY ARMOUR + HELM 3: GRENADES





GUARD

GUARD is a long range combat expert. He uses AUG / SG553 to engage enemies at longer range and excels at defensive play. On the attack he supports, suppresses and eliminates enemies that FRAG and CLUTCH engage using scoped weapons to finish the job or quickly eliminate enemies out-with the first two players range.

He is the third attacking man. This players crucial skills are: Long Range Aim - Skirmishing - Movement.

His strongest ability needs to be: Accurate Burst Fire and Recoil control.

On the defense GUARD covers long A and will either slam players as they come through doors or fall back if the numbers are to much.

Priority Equipment: 1: AUG / SG 2: BODY ARMOUR + HELM 3: SAVING CASH



POINT

POINT is the most important player on the team. His use of Flashes and Smokes are central to every play the team makes. Early and mid game he flashes and smokes the chosen site and then covers the attackers flanks: e.g: tunnel on B push.

He buys eco and grenades in the early rounds until he can afford an AWP and if his team is doing well will often pick up a cheap weapon to help the three man attack squad. If he cannot afford this it is a good idea to follow the three man squad with his pistol to clean up and cover corners while the bomb ticks. He then holds corners or mid and shuts down areas of the map as the play requires.

His crucial skills include : Early Grenade Placement - Communication - AWP

His strongest ability is: Grenade Placement / AWP / Supporting Team

On the defensive POINT holds mid from the crates. He is very, very important as he will either fall back to B if it is rushed, hold mid if their is no immediate push, or rush short or long A to flank an attack.

Priority Equipment: 1: FLASH AND SMOKE 2: BODY ARMOUR + HELM 3: AWP





LURK

LURK is the roaming player. He is versatile and has a balanced skill set. He is often the last man left and it is his job to ambush whatever players remain and harass them. He will either hide at a bomb site while defending trying to hold attackers off from defusing or take unexpected routes to ninja defuse or trick defenders into splitting for easier elimination as T.

If a play goes well it is the LURKs job to use his knife to quickly reach a position to strike quickly and with strength where the enemy least expects. I.e: Behind long A when they push and engage with site A defenders.

He gets to the action quickly as required, either flanking or reinforcing immediately depending on urgency. He works closely with FRAG and CLUTCH in determining where to go. His crucial skills are: Stealth - Hit and Run - Communication.

His strongest ability is: Aggressive Hit and Run Harassment

On the defense LURK doubles up as an A defender at short with the FRAG. Short A is difficult to hold. He will either switch to long, cover CT or rush mid to flank an attack on site B.

Priority Equiptment: 1: RIFLE 2: CASH FOR THE TEAM 3: BODY ARMOUR + HELM
