Let me start off by saying that I am not making this topic as a smear campaign against an individual, however, it would be silly to not mention this person: however, for those PC-people out there, I might decide to censor the person's name, haven't decided just yet.

So to cut to the chase, this person virtually on his own accord (and yes, this person I was once good friends with), and yes, with the support of others, but mainly in an effort onto his/her own created these unofficial patches "2.0.3u" and "2.0.4u". Positive things happened as a result of these patches. Negative things happened because of these patches. The positive was the buzz that was created. The negative? The dev team hadn't been consulted with first.

This creates it's own bee's nest of problems, as you might imagine, but also had benefits onto it's own, of which, benefits that I can discuss if prodded, but are largely irrelvant;

--the main point to be making here is that these patches are not reliable and cause problems.
Further more, the creator of these patches operates a server where weapon damages, attributes, and even skill-perk abilities are modified on the fly, causing even more problems because of a highly edited script. The last time that the lead devs Mazor and Vusunta had an informal "ask me anything" event, they made it clear that they frowned upon this.

"But wait a minute, Bruhvo: aren't you simply appealing to authority here because you had a falling out with the guy and now you have it out for him"

Well, I'll tell you this. It's not just the lead devs who disagree with these practices and had no say in the first place:

It's the entire community of veteran Firearms™ mod players who also disagree with these practices, and rather than be forced to put up with it, have simply left the game.

So for this reason, I urge others to not use his patch.

I will post a link for the download for the crash fix.

Until we get a proper official 2.0.3 release sorted out: for now--

We will resume using 2.0.2 with no mods or scripts: It is the only way to ensure that your game will run the way it is supposed to.

So yeah. Such an evil bastard. Resurrected A DEAD, BROKEN game. You shouldn't play his UNOFFICIAL patches, they cause problems! Unlike original game that don't cause problems because:
- it's dead
- when it's not dead, it's crashing
- when you end up on desktop, your problems end, so FAS 2.0.2 = no probs at all, eh?

I'm sorry, but this is just pure BS. Vunsunta and few others from original team tested modified damage and buy configs with me and my buddies a few years back. They said it's cool for us to keep a modded server and then later again he confirmed we can do with configs whatever we want unless it's stated these are MODDED values \ scripts.

I know what you're talking about with the "problems" (bugs occuring if you run unmodded game on 2.0.4u servers*), but it's clearly labeled so it's obvious it boils down to how you present this issue to the people like Vunsunta. Especially if you'd fucking remind him that the game died because it was abandoned at broken 2.0.2 release.

*which were also happening only is you used extra attachments \ weapon variants added in 2.0.4, rarely eating your weapon if you used all the credits bcz. of changed credit values.

Honestly this feels like a hate campaign.

So let me remind everyone of three things:
- I WAS THERE, during old days and now
- I spoke with the devs before about the matter
- They said it's cool

So stop talking in the name of undisclosed "veterans" because I've met few of them on 2.0.4u

AFTER A FEW YEARS.

Bruhvo, you're a cool guy, pls don't do this. For whatever reason you're doing this...

Just stop.

There were positives. Great positives. Unforseen positives.

This provides an alternative to the remainder of the FAS community which does not find itself in the dude's good graces, or feel alienated for one reason or another.

Unfortuantely, there's a anti- entourage that stretches longer than a 5th Avenue Iphone-7 launch line.

As long as he continues to horde the game to himself (yes we may disagree here but it is how some feel), and especially after he has alienated himself from the actual dev team, it just seems fair.

If he can just eject me from a community that I helped him build (just like that), then surely I can choose not to associate with his unofficial patches and decide to align myself with like-minded invididuals and good leaders, and provide an alternative to a community which I built all but by myself.

While, the group may be small, and consisting of MANY of my own friends, I dare say that I don't believe my thoughts are simply richocheting around the walls of a limited echo-chamber.

That being said, I appreciate the talk we've had, but obviously such wordy post warranted an official response. :)

Yes , I attacked his server DDOS , but I did not start this abuse ! BruhvoPizza can and began to write tough , but he's damn right !
