sometimes my minidisplayport monitor has screen tearing and other problems. is the adaapter going bad? unplugging it and replugging it solves the problem. sometimes when windows 8.1 boots the icons are tiny and the task bars is unusually big but the resolution seems fine (clear and sharp), but the text on browsers and applications are blurry. rebooting solves the problem. i got 3x dell s2340m, msi z77 g45 mobo, samsung 840 ssd, 3570k, 1tb wd blue, 290x, kingston genesis ram, cx500 psu (lol). is it power supply problem? i know 500w is not enough, but the pc never crashes, just has screen problems. cpu is not overclocked and turbo boost is off ever since i got 290x to try to save wattage for it. my gpu drivers are not the latest since the latest one gives me problems. with it installed, i cant change my screens from portrait to landscape. once i put it in portrait, putting it back to landscape would make the screens go on standby. only way to go back to landscape it to uninstall the drivers completely. makes me want to start a new build from scratch or should i just buy nvidia cards?... jk nvidia is for ♥♥♥♥
