The MOTD is fixed and working once again.
Door Sharing works again with the latest Rust client (Jan 24). Combo Locking as provided by Facepunch also works. You can choose either method for sharing your doors, whichever you prefer.
Admins now have the ability to globally mute a player in chat.
Server Rules can now be accessed ingame by typing /rules.
Modified drop tables (zombie, crate and airdrop) to improve game balance. Don't worry, nothing was disabled. Modern weapons remain accessible, as are Explosives and Explosive Charges.
And much more....
So, what are you waiting for? Join us back on USW99 and start building your empire. We look forward to seeing you online.
As explained below, the server required a wipe due to some config changes that effected game balance. My apologies for the inconvenience regarding the wipe and the extended downtime, but it was entirely unavoidable.
For the record, I do everything in my power to avoid wiping the server at all costs. However, in certain situations I simply have no choice. USW99, barring anymore unexpected issues (or gamebreaking balance changes from Facepunch), will not be wiping again anytime soon.
On a brighter note:
USW99 Admins can now remove Foundations, Pillars and Ceilings! If you make a mistake that compromises your design, we can assist you.
The client update today broke Rust++, and the mod developers are about to release 1.5 (which features some amazing new functionality for server owners and admins). I am in the process of waiting for HFB to update the available mods with the newest version of Rust++, and once I have it installed and reconfigured the server will be back up.
The unfortunate bit, besides the downtime, is that the server requires a wipe due to some of the new changes with Rust++, as well as a few other balance changes that were made to the drop tables.
I know this is lame news, but it's necessary in order for balance to not be permanently skewed following the latest updates by both myself, Rust++, and Facepunch.
