If you noticed those mass-epidemic amounts of "ihate[random girl name].com" links, don't click them. It puts spyware on your PC and it will steal your logon info. Its main purpose is to get your Steam logon. That's the new way they're doing it these days.

I feel I should warn the members of this group of a certain scam from a fellow group-mate, who shall remain nameless for the time being.

While idling recently, after watching a movie I came over to the computer to see if I had found any items. After claiming my finds I opened the community with "shift+tab" to make sure nobody attempted to chat whilst I was away.

To my surprise, I found a chat request, from the afformented "nameless player". I accepted the chat request, and this was the message. He posted a link to a website, claiming that Steam was giving away free games for one month only.

Not believing this obvious scam, I checked his Steam ID page, found out that he was a member of "Drug Free". And after discovering that I myself was an administrator unknowingly, I suddenly felt the urge to alert all other players in the group of this attempted scam.

I emplore you, if anyone in this group gave you a weblink, claiming to be a way to get "free steam games". Block all communications with that player, and leave a comment here. This player may have had his steam account hacked and is merely a pawn for spreading this scam. If the problem continues, I will personally kick this player from our group, and report the stolen account to Valve.
