I wanted to show some extra gratitude to David, who I think has done an outstanding job putting this forum together.
Management were correct in trusting you with this task.
I am convinced that in time everybody will be very pleased
I for one am very enthusiastic about the possibilities in this company-only open forum. I think this is the natural step for our Cushman & Wakefield to reach the next level.
The thing is, David, most of us don't play video games. The fact that the higher ups in this company thought it was a good idea to use Steamcommunity as our company forum is absolutely baffling to me. I didn't even know what this was until I got the E-mail telling us to sign up.
From what I've gathered this is a forum focused almost solely on computer games. I wouldn't be surprised if my 16 year old nephew uses this social network for Pete's sake.
On this platform it seems that you have to spend at least 5 USD before you can activate your new Steamcommunity account and get access to features like adding colleges to your contact lists among other things. We don't know why this is the case but in the meantime we'll have to manage.
What you do is you simply add 5$ to your account and either E-mail the receipt to me or Mr. Adams. The company will then give you a full compensation. If you have a physical receipt you can give it directly to me at my desk.
Warmly,
Monica Coleman
Executive Secretary
Thank you, Neil. I understand how you all feel and I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused by the new platform. I wish there was something I could do but questions like these are way above my pay grade. I will however forward your complaints to the appropriate party but I wouldn't keep my hopes up.
Sincerely, David Cohen.
PS. I would like to point out that there's an extensive library of video games on this platform. Navigate to 'Store' and you will be met with all kinds of fun and exciting games. Personally I would recommend you to buy Counter Strike: Global Offensive. The graphics are absolutely incredible, nothing like when we were young!
It has come to our attention that many coworkers are confused and irritated by the choice of community platform for the company forum. I just want to clarify that the choice of platform comes directly from management and neither me nor David Cohen has much to say about the matter.
We definitely hear your feedback but I ask you for your patience. These are new and exciting times for Cushman & Wakefield .
Some minor problems with activating accounts are being looked into and we hope to have a solution by the end of the weekend.
I know this is new for many people, but give it some time and I am sure that we are going to have a thriving forum with the goal of sharing information, news and ideas on and around our great company.
The latest Economic and Financial Affairs Council meeting just wrapped up.
For anyone interested, here is the economic growth, funds & gross revenue shown for 2018 and the first half of 2019.
Also discussed; The presumptive adjusted inflation index for the coming calendar year.
