We're surrounded by evil everywhere. We can't run away from it or pretend it doesn't exist. If we applied this mentality to everything, we would gouge our eyes out from looking at scantily clad women, deafen ourselves from hearing profanity and blasphemy, and much more. It isn't about what you are exposed to, but what you do in response. Do you start watching pornography after seeing a bit of fanservice in anime? Do you start cursing after hearing swear words in entertainment? The Holy Spirit is stronger than your sinful self, so let it work in you, and stop worrying about what you may be exposed to.

Not all anime is purely full of fanservice, and can have some genuinely good storytelling and characters. Anime like Clannad and Clannad after story have very touching moments and teach about familial love. Heck, even more mature anime like Code Geass, with all its violence and death, have great stories. It just depends on what you focus on.

The worst part is that he can be pretty good at his job. His deception is hardly ever obvious and can turn good into evil, and vice versa. People believe that he deceived people into believing that he is the God of Islam (not too sure about this myself), and as a result he has over a billion followers. We ourselves cannot overpower the devil, but we ourselves don't have to. God has conquered death, and with him we will stand defiant of his treachery, even when it seems like God is distant.

There are going to be a lot of questions like this that are going to exist. As long as it isn't explicit, doesn't offend anyone intentionally, doesn't make you feel uncomfortable and most importantly doesn't divide you from God, it shouldn't really matter. We should look beyond the surface to decide whether something is "right" or "wrong."

You can drink alcohol. You can listen to Melodic Death Metal, like I do. You can appreciate nude art (there's a difference between this and pornography, which can exploit this). You can study evolution. There's a lot more things you can do than you think.

However, you cannot become intoxicated by drug and or/alcohol. You cannot become aggresive, like some people would portray Metal fans. You cannot lust. PERIOD. You cannot blaspheme. "It is not what enters a man that defiles him, but what comes out of the man." - Matthew 15:11

You already are proving my point by having video games as a hobby. TF2 is a violent game but that doesn't stop me and you from enjoying it while having a clean conscience about it. It's violent and sometimes crude, but also enjoyable and sometimes funny. If you enjoy it and it doesn't impact your faith in a negative way, then why not apply the same concept outside of video games? We are given free will by God.

Favorite Game/s: I tend to like Indie games. Seeing how a small group of individuals create incredible pieces of art and story-telling is always a great journey. And it's usually these games that outshine AAA titles in terms of dedication and genuine investment. I like quite a few titles on my Wii too, like Xenoblade Chronicles, Smash Bros. Brawl, Both Legend of Zelda games, Metroid Prime 3 etc.

Favorite Verse/s: I've barely been a Christian for a few months, so I'm still finding some (I was raised in a Christian family, I'm by no means a convert.) I like Matt 16:26 though. It's simple yet poetic and true. "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" I also really like the case where Jesus saves an adulteress from stoning in John 8:1-11.

Other info about me: I love Metal music. If it weren't for bands like Theocracy or August Burns Red, I wouldn't be a Christian today. I hope to spread hope and goodness using the same medium, and/or possibly start a Christian Symphonic Power Progressive Metal band. I love poetry as well.
