Whilst previously available for pre-purchase, the remastered version of 2007's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has now been removed from the German Steam store.

The 2007 release was added to Germany's {ODKAZ SMAZÁN}List of Media Harmful to Young Peopleand a special censored version had to be made for the German market.

Remastered versions of previously indexed games are treated as identical in content. This means the titles are not allowed to be sold on platforms such as Steam, due to not being behind an "age verified, closed user group".

The censored release didn't face this trouble though. It is not known if a censored version of Modern Warfare Remastered will be made to get around this restriction.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is packaged exclusively with special edition versions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. This means that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Digital Legacy Edition and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Digital Deluxe Edition have been pulled from the German store, with no indication that they will return.

Australian Steam users are reporting that the upcoming South Park: The Fractured But Whole has suddenly {ODKAZ SMAZÁN}completely disappearedfrom the Australian Steam store.

Upon investigated the matter using an Australian IP address, it's been found that searching for the title either results in the game simply not being found or a "This item is currently unavailable in your region" message.

It's not known why the game has gone missing in the Australian region. It's a possibility that it will pop back up again sometime soon.

On the other hand, it's perhaps an early sign of the title running into some kind of censorship related issues, like the 2014's South Park: The Stick Of Truth did.

If The Fractured But Whole does indeed run into censorship trouble, you'll be able to find any details reported on Censored Gaming as soon as they are known.

The German website {ODKAZ SMAZÁN}Schnittberichtehas revealed that Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will be getting a completely uncensored German release.

In most of the world, the game was released for Xbox One last year, with a Steam version then following shortly after. In Germany though, the title has not been released at all.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is a remake of 2006’s Gears of War, and {ODKAZ SMAZÁN}you may recallthat the 2006 release was recently removed from Germany’s {ODKAZ SMAZÁN}List of Media Harmful to Young People.

The original being placed on this controversial list is what stopped a release. But now, with it being removed, Microsoft Game Studios has taken the opportunity to at last see the game released in the German market.

German players will be able to pick the game up on both Xbox One and Steam September 2nd.

According to the German anti-censorship website {ODKAZ SMAZÁN}Schnittberichte, the upcoming South Park :The Fractured But Whole, sequel to 2014's The Stick of Truth, will be once again including Nazi-related themes in the game.

Germany has a law that bans Nazi imagery from games, with this affecting things like swastikas, uniforms and even certain phrases. Due to this legal requirement, the German version will have to be censored, if containing any of these prohibited elements.

The earlier South Park: The Stick of Truth had large amounts of censorship in Germany, due to the amount of banned Nazi content contained in the game. Most of this censorship was handled by simply slapping big black 'censor boxes' over any offending material.

As reported on by the popular German Steam group for UNCUT!, the remastered version of Dead Rising will not be seeing a German release.

The original Dead Rising from back in 2006 was banned in the German region for its violent content. Due to this ban, the new remastered version is also not allowed to be sold within Germany.

It's not just Germany though that has run into trouble. Over in Japan, it appears that the game will be censored just like the original version was.

The censored Japanese version removes all dismemberment from the game, which is something you can find plenty of during regular gameplay.

The reason for this suspicion is that there is a separate entry for the Japanese version on {ODKAZ SMAZÁN}SteamDB. This is a massive sign that the Japanese release has had changes made to it.

Dead Rising will be coming to PC September 13th.
