Chapter 1
“Wait up Henry!” Cade yelled anxiously. Henry turned to find Cade running at him. Cade and Henry were best friends and practically brothers. Cade Spiri was a tall 12-year-old. His short black hair and brown skin contrasted with dark blue eyes and a small nose. His favorite thing to do was to play Terraria. It was also Henry's favorite pastime. Henry Canyon was a 12-year-old, short and chubby kid, with a short attention span. He had freckles and a mischievous grin.
“Guess what I got!” Cade said anxiously.
“What?” Henry asked curiously.
“A Shrimpy Truffle!”
“I have something better- a suspicious looking eye,” Henry answered pridefully.
“I have something better than both of your items,” Copper walked up to them. Copper was a short 11-year-old. He had blue eyes and short blonde hair. And, like his friends, liked to play Terraria.
“I have a Rune Wizard Banner.”
“No way! Those are so hard to obtain.” Henry exclaimed.
“How do we know you're telling the truth?” Cade questioned.
“You got me. I don't have it,” Copper said sarcastically.
“I believe you, but right now we need to get to orchestra.” Henry replied.
They ran into the school and down a flight of stairs. They entered a room next to the math room. The room was filled with open cello and violin cases. The smell of cake drifted through the cool air. They got their instruments then walked into the room to the left. They sat down and put their music on stands. They played the song they were practicing, the main theme from Star Wars.
An hour later they packed up and grabbed their backpacks. The bell rang signifying it was time to go home. The trio ran to the bus, but someone grabbed the back of Coppers backpack before they could reach it.
“Not so fast.” Copper turned his head to find Jade staring at him. Jade was the groups arch nemesis, mainly because she made fun of them for playing video games. She had long, dyed green hair that had been tied into a braid. Her khakis contrasted her light green t-shirt. On her shirt was a tall tree. Half of the tree was green and fresh while the other half was wilted and dark.
“Oh no,” Copper said. Cade and Henry stopped walking and turned around. “What do you want Jade?” Cade sneered.
“Happy to see you too,” she sneered back. “Look Copper, I need you to do something for me,” Jade stated.
“Ooh, Jade needs copper.” Cade and Henry snickered.
“Oh, shut up. Anyway, the guy who was going to play Romeo in the school play broke his leg so I need you to play his part,” Jade instructed.
“Yeah, like I’m going to do that,” Copper said.
“Too bad, Mrs. Alan says you must,” replied Jade.
“Come on! And who's playing Juliet?” Copper asked.
“Moi,” answered Jade.
“Snap,” interrupted Henry.
“Why me?” Copper wondered.
“Mrs. Alan said you would fit the part. Go to the auditorium tomorrow at 5:00. You may go.” Copper turned to face Henry.
“Let’s get on the bus.” They got on then sat in the very back row. “Send me the ip to the server,” Copper demanded.
That night Copper opened Terraria and went to multiplayer. He was about to join the expert, hardcore server. He typed in the ip and joined. As soon as he joined, in the corner of the screen a message appeared saying Impending Doom Approaches. He drank his potions and summoned his stardust dragon.
The Moon Lord spawned and went straight after him. Cade and Henry met up with him and started shooting the Moon Lord. His top eye opened and Henry swung his yoyo at the eye. After 3 minutes of fighting the core opened and they fired at it. The True Eyes shot lasers, hurting Copper immensely. Copper shot a poison bullet and the core exploded. Lasers shot from the Moon Lord and piercing blue light shot from the screen and into the room. Copper was confused at what was happening. The light was so bright he was blinded for a moment. Then, something else shot out from the computer. He went totally blind and quickly lost consciousness. . .








Chapter 2
Copper woke up groaning. He started to sit up from the grass he was laying on. His back ached and his arms were sore. Instead of what he was wearing earlier, he wore a long, blue, flowing robe. A red, glowing amulet dangled from his neck. He found himself in a large, lush forest. Thick, tall mossy trees surrounded the clearing he was in. Sunflowers and dayblooms crowded the clearing with butterflies flying overhead. He stood up and started walking, trying to find someone who could explain where he was. Is this a dream? Squirrels and bunnies scurried around fast as if they had important business somewhere. He turned and saw something coming toward him. It looked like a little blob of gel. It jumped toward him at an amazing speed. It was a terraria slime! But how? He had to be in a dream. All the sudden, the slime sped up then lunged at him. Even though it was just a glob of goo, the slime caused immense pain. The pain was too real for this world to be a dream. He needed a weapon. He looked for a stick or rock to jab into the creature. He wished he had a sword. After thinking about a sword, one materialized in his hand. He grasped the blade and jumped toward the slime. He jabbed the metal into the goo. The slime started to shrink then disappeared with a pop. Some gel was left behind from the monster's death. How did the sword appear in his hand when he thought about it? He thought about it going away. The sword disappeared from his hand. Cool.
“Nice kill, Copper,” came a voice behind Copper. He turned and found Henry staring at him. He was dressed in guide clothes and had a bow in hand.
“Henry! You’re here!” Copper exclaimed.
“In the flesh, I think. I think we are in Terraria,” Henry explained.
“Really? I didn’t think so. I mean, we are in a forest crawling with slimes and other Terraria creatures.” Copper said sarcastically. “How about some useful info like how we got here.”
“I know how you got here,” said a deep voice.
“Who are you?” Copper asked.
“I can't tell you that, it’s a secret. I am speaking to you two telepathically. There is not much time to talk. I have brought you here to help me. You two are skilled at this game and you are great warriors in the other world too. I must go. You need to get materials and build a shelter.” The voice disappeared.
Copper thought about an axe and it materialized. He started chopping trees, then threw the wood to Henry who placed it. Two minutes later the house was finished. It was a simple wood house with some torches over the doors.
Copper chopped one last tree, which revealed a small hole. He squeezed into the small space. The space got bigger as he crawled in. It then opened into a large hole. He slipped and fell down the steep hole. He landed with a hard crash. Pain rushed through his body. He stood up whimpering. He walked down the cave. Water trickled from the ceilings and weeds poked up from the ground. At the end of the hall was a red, glowing light. He ran toward it and entered a small room. Cracked wood and stone made up the walls. A heart shaped crystal sat in the center of the room. Broken furniture and chests lined the sides of the room. He mined the crystal and bit it. The crystal tasted tangy and sweet. He felt regenerated. He walked over to a chest and opened it. Inside was a Magic Mirror, six health potions, a flare gun, and some flares.
He looked into the mirror and was teleported instantaneously to his house. As he put the mirror away, a voice pierced his mind. It said: You feel an evil presence watching you.


Chapter 3
Copper opened the door to the house and found Henry working at a furnace. “Henry turned to look at Copper and said “Did you hear that?”
“Yes, we need to hurry.” Copper responded. Copper ran to the furnace and extracted some iron bars.
“There is enough iron for both of us to have full gear.” Henry informed. Copper carried the iron to an anvil and crafted some gear. He threw the gear and the rest of the heart crystal to Henry. Henry passed back some potions. Copper and Henry ran outside. They put on the gear and drank the potions. After five minutes, they saw The Eye of Cthulhu fly toward them. Demon eyes materialized beside the Eye. Blood trickled behind the giant creature. Henry shot the Eye of Cthulhu while Copper stabbed the demon eyes. The eye charged at Copper, hitting him with a forceful blow. Copper stumbled as he tried to swing his sword. The eye sped toward Henry, but saved himself by shooting a jester arrow. The arrow stabbed deep into the eye, then the eye started spinning. Goo and other parts splattered all over the place. The eye had transformed into a flying mouth. The eye flew at 103 mph at Henry. The teeth stabbed into Henry, pain surged through his body. Henry fell to the ground, blood crawling from his chest. Anger surged through Copper as he lunged toward the monster. The monster faced Copper and flew toward him. Copper stabbed the sword into the mouth. The monster screamed in terror. The eye exploded, flesh and blood flying everywhere. Copper breathed deeply surprised at what he had just witnessed. He looked for his sword and found it jabbed into a thick chunk of flesh. He pulled it out then noticed something under some goop. He wiped off the goop and blood to uncover a body. The body was Jade! But how could she have been here? She didn’t play Terraria, or any game for that matter. The voice had brought them here because they played the game.
Jade had been covered with nothing but a few vines. At the end of each vine was a small, blue flower. She must have been here to play the role as the dryad.
Jade slowly opened her eyes and moaned. “Where am I?”
“In Terraria.” Copper explained.
“Copper? What are you doing here? And what do you mean I’m “In Terraria”?” Jade asked confused.
“The better question is, what are you doing here? Oh, we are here because some psycho transported us here.” Copper explained again.
“And I’m supposed to believe that?” Jade asked suspiciously.
“I’m just telling the truth.” Copper said.
“Then explain why I’m covered in goop?” Jade interrogated.
“I had just slain the Eye of Cthulhu. You were trapped inside the monster. Now tell me, how could have made it here? The voice only chose people who played Terraria.” Copper interrogated.
“First, who is the voice?” Jade asked.
“The entity that brought us here. He brought only Terrarians to help him, why are you here?” Copper asked.
“I’m sorry, I lied about not playing video games. I didn’t want anyone to think I’m a geek or something.” Jade confessed.
“I forgive you, but now we have other things to do.” Copper answered. After he said that he grabbed Jade’s hand and pulled her up. He raced over to Henry to make sure he was ok. He reached him but found him unconscious. A Demon Eye sped overhead and charged at Henry’s face. It hit him then Henry dissolved. Copper swung towards the Demon Eye and killed it. He sat and looked where the body once lay. Tears trickled from his eye. Jade ran up and asked what happened. Copper explained what had happened. Jade sat down and put a hand on Copper’s back. “You know, I never really liked him.” Jade joked.
“Shut up, he was my friend. What if he’s not just dead in this game. The voice said this was more than a game. What if he is gone, for good?”

“Oh good, your awake.” A voice came from in front of Henry.
“What? Who are you? Where am I?” Henry asked confused.
“I’m Cyril, an angel. Welcome to NPC heaven!” Cyril explained. Henry stood up.
“I’m dead?” He asked.
“Yep, but trust me, you will like it here.” Cyril assured. He then started singing. “In the sky, In the sky. Everything’s cleaner, everything’s brighter. Take it from me.”
“You can stop singing.” Henry said. “Oh, sorry. Where are my manners, follow me.” Cyril replied. Henry followed him to a tall, green building with pillars holding it up. Inside were other angels sitting and drinking ale and lesser mana potions.
“Take a seat.” The angel said. “Anything I can get you?”
“A lesser mana potion please.” Henry requested. He sat down and the angel walked away. Three minutes later he came back with two drinks. He passed one to Henry and sat down.
“You are going to go back down you know.” The angel said.
“I am?” Henry asked.
“Of course, all NPC’s die, but respawn. But be careful, if you die ten times you are either erased permanently or become an angel.” Cyril explained. “I became an angel.”
“You were an NPC?” Henry asked.
“Yep, a guide like you. I was friends with the current player. His name was Maxx. We had to recover four swords to defeat an evil force and restore peace to the world.” Cyril explained pridefully.
“That’s cool, I myself have been transported to this world from another dimension. A mysterious voice brought us requesting our help.” Henry said. After an hour of talking, Cyril said,
“It’s about time you get ready to go back.” He led Henry over to a bright, yellow beam in the sky.
“Just walk in and you’ll be transported back.” Henry stepped in then felt a burning sensation. Flesh started to cover him. He started spinning. The sensation felt weird. Then everything stopped and went black…

Chapter 4
Henry woke up rejuvenated. He stood up and stretched before scanning the area he was in. The sky was dark, a beam of light burning in the distance. The sun slowly was creeping up over the trees. He spotted the house, a short distance from where he stood. He trotted over to the yard, ducking under branches and clearing vines. He entered the house, looking for Copper. He discovered some stairs in the corner and walked up. A short hallway extended from the stairs. A door stood at the end of the hall, welcoming him to come in. He entered the door, half expecting Copper to be inside. The room was half finished, part of the roof and floor were missing. Copper stood on a stack of blocks, finishing the ceiling quickly. Copper turned to meet Henry staring at him. In the corner, Jade sat on a purple sofa.
“You’re alive?” Copper asked with awe.
“I’m here, aren’t I?” Henry said sarcastically. “Now tell me, what’s Jade doing here. How did she get here?” Copper explained everything about the Eye and her being the Dryad.
“So, she’s here to stay?” Henry asked disappointed.
“Yep. Look, we have had conflicts in the past but let’s let that go, ok?” Jade asked.
“Alright, I guess.” He answered.
“What say we move onto the Brain of Cthulhu then?” Copper interrupted.
“Sure.” Henry and Jade said in unison. They rushed out the room and down the stairs. Copper stood at the crafting table and put some items together. He made a Blood Butcherer and a Tendon Bow. He handed the bow the Henry fallowed by a few arrows.
“Don’t I get anything?” Jade asked.
“Well, you’re the Dryad. Don’t you have some kind of power?” Copper asked.
“Not that I know of.” She responded.
“Well we don’t have any more Crimtane.” Copper said. Copper grabbed some potions and led them out the door. They trekked through the trees, fallowing Copper.
“You do know where the Crimson is, right?” Henry asked.
“Yep, just fallow me.” They traveled through the woodland until they came into the Crimson Desert. Crimera and vultures circled the sky while Crimslimes and Face Monsters wandered amid the plane. The red sun burned against the grey sand. A large, red dome stood in the middle of the dessert. They trekked over to the dome, a small opening at the side of the structure. They entered the cave. The cave zig-zagged down into a large room. They stood at a steep ledge.
“How’re we supposed to get down there?” Henry asked.
“Like this!” Copper answered. He jumped down but saved himself by shooting something from his arm, a grappling hook!
“I was gone for half a night and you build a house extension, find the Crimson, and got a grappling hook!” Henry said amazed.
“You can do a lot in one night.” Copper replied. The hook snatched on to the ceiling and swung him back up. “Grab on,” Copper swung back down but up again. Henry jumped and grabbed onto the grappling hook. Copper swung down and Henry jumped off, landing onto the hard ground. Copper did the same with Jade before retracting the hooking and landing. Henry pulled out a torch, illuminating the room. The trudged through little lakes of water and over hills of Crimstone. They reached a deep hole with a small room at the bottom. Copper slid down the hole and into the room. Inside was a chest and a glowing heart hanging from the ceiling. He looked inside the chest. All that was inside was two sticks of dynamite and three bombs. He threw a bomb and backed up quickly. The heart exploded, blood flying everywhere. All that was left was a lake of blood and a rotted fork. He grabbed the weapon and rushed back up.
“Here’s a weapon, Jade.” Copper said as he handed the fork over.
“Is this it?” Jade asked disappointed.
“Be happy you even have something.” Henry said. “Can you give me a bomb?” Henry asked Copper. Copper handed him a bomb then Henry slid down a second hole. He threw the bomb at a second heart inside the hole. It blew up, revealing an Undertaker and some bullets. He grabbed the weapon and bullets and returned to the group. Jade was disappointed, she only got a rotted fork. She felt like the weak link. Maybe she could get a better weapon if she broke a third heart, but she forgot that if she did that it would awaken the Brain. She slipped away when the others weren’t looking and went down a third hole. she went to the bottom where the heart was and stabbed it using the fork. Blood gushed from the heart causing her to slip. Something flew from the heart and into the pool of blood. She tried to stand but she couldn’t get up. Once the heart was drained of blood, she grabbed the wall and stood. She walked over to the edge of the pool. She was about to exit but the ground started to shake. The ground shook forcefully, making her fall backwards. Has she hit the water she felt something stab into her back. She sank into the blood, something stabbing into her corpse. She jumped up, crying out with pain. The stabbing stopped as blood flowed from her back. The wound quickly healed, almost like magic. She turned to see what had pierced her. A small necklace floated above the water. It was in the shape of a heart, with needles poking out from one side. She grabbed the necklace and put it on, the needles facing outward. She reached the edge of the pool despite the ground shaking terribly. She trudged up the hole quickly. She felt quicker with the necklace on. The shaking stopped, allowing her to get up the hole. Henry and Copper were up at the top looking at her angrily.
“What were you thinking? Now the Brain is coming and were not ready!” Copper said angrily. In the middle of the room, a giant creature rose from the ground. As it did, Creepers materialized near it. the Brain had awoken! Henry shot the Undertaker at the Creepers while Copper slashed away. Jade murdered the Creepers flying lower. A Creeper sped toward her without her looking. It knocked the Rotted Fork out of her hand as it flew into a hole. She became extremely angry, she had no chance against the monster now. Dark clouds formed around her. Faces formed in the middle of the grey mist. Acid rain drizzled down harming every Creeper coming toward her. The clouds flew after the Creepers, burning and killing them. Henry shot a bullet at the last Creeper, causing the Brain to explode. The Brain wasn’t entirely gone though, a heart was revealed surrounded by what was left of the monster. It sped around toward them at insane speeds. They kept fighting but the creature only became quicker. It multiplied into illusions of the real thing. The two Angry Nimbuses charged forward finishing of the brain. Crimtane and Tissue fell from where it once flew.
“Boo-Yah!” Henry cheered. Copper picked up the materials. “What say we go home now?” Henry and Jade nodded. They went home, happy to finally rest. In the distance, Copper could hear, A Goblin Army is approaching from the West.









Chapter 5
“Uh, guys. I just heard a voice saying “A Goblin Army is approaching.” Copper said
“Well we better get back to the house quickly then.” Jade supposed. They trekked back to the house quickly, hoping to make it before the goblins arrived. They arrived at their house to see a single goblin scout searching the perimeter. Henry shot the goblin with his bow, the flaming arrow whizzing across the yard stabbing into the scout. A large rumbling shook the ground with the Goblin Army close behind. The goblins came faster, already starting to shoot arrows and throw spiky balls. They looked like humans but were green and wore ragged clothing. Warts covered their ugly faces. Jade summoned some Angry Nimbuses. They took out the goblins quickly, but they kept coming. For every goblin they killed, two more came. Eventually there was to many, they were surrounded. There was no way out, the goblins were going to win. Jade hoped that there would be some way to escape. She closed her eyes and put her hands together. A green glowing orb formed from her hands. A shield of leaves formed around them, every goblin that came toward, got incinerated almost instantaneously. They regened then Copper stepped out. He finished the rest of the goblins off quickly and easily. The last goblin dropped a harpoon. The harpoon was long and grey, with the knife barely poking out.
“Well, that was unexpectedly easy. Plus, we have discovered a new ability for Jade.” Copper said surprised.
“Yes, well done.” A mysterious voice called, I can see I chose the right heroes. You see, I gave each of you your own specific role to play when I brought you here. It seems Jade has discovered some of her powers. She will discover more and grow stronger. Also, Henry, you have a special power too. You can access another part of your brain, giving you access to infinite knowledge. I must go. You must now travel to the Corruption to defeat the Eater of Worlds. I recommend you get some rest first. Remember to build houses for NPCs to move into, you can buy important items from them.” The voice vanished.
“Should we get some rest?” Henry suggested.
“Nah, we should go get The Eater of Worlds.” Copper anticipated.
“I’m tired, so I’m with Henry.” Jade countered as she walked inside.

That night, when everyone was asleep, Copper snuck out. He was too anxious and full of energy to wait until morning to fight the Eater of Worlds. Besides, what could go wrong?
















Chapter 6
Copper figured that if the Crimson was located right of the house, the Corruption must be to the left. He walked through the woods carefully, listening for any mobs that might come out and strike. He passed through some thick shrubs and into a snow biome. Snow drifted slowly from the sky, steadily turning into a blizzard. Few trees dotted the barren landscape, dying gradually.
Copper thought to hurry through before it could get worse. He trudged through the slush slowly, almost slipping on a few patches of ice. The storm was getting worse by the minute and there was no possibility of it clearing up. Copper felt like an icicle walking through the snow. He had no coat are anything to protect him from the piercing cold. He remembered having some leftover tissue from the fight with the Brain. He pulled it out and tried to cover himself with it. The tissue provided little heat from the flurry but was better than nothing. In the distance, he could see a small figure coming toward him. It couldn’t have been Henry or Jade because they were back at the house sleeping. More figures joined the shadow as they came toward him. As they came closer, Copper could make out what they looked like. The creatures appeared to be Zombie Eskimos. They wore heavy, thick, blue coats and steel plated boots. Their faces were blue with frost. Copper pulled out his sword and swung at them. These monsters were much harder than regular zombies, it seemed like their coats were armor. He aimed for their faces, the only part of them he could reach. As he lunged toward the leading zombie, another zombie came from the side and knocked Copper out of the way. He faceplanted into the snow, struggling to get up. He kept slipping as tried to stand. More zombies joined in the fight, clamoring toward him to rip out his flesh. Just when he was about to get up, a zombie lunged from behind and landed on him. They ripped through the armor and into his skin. He could feel the blood rushing from his skin as more flesh was torn off. This was the end of him, he would have his life end by a brainless zombie. He lay there and cried in his last moments. No one could save him.
Or so he thought, he felt the scratching stop as screams filled the air around him. He turned around to find a masked figure in a eskimo coat slaying the zombies. The figure yelled, “Off with their heads!” He chopped their heads one by one, showing no mercy. Once he was finished he looked at Copper. He took off his mask to reveal his face, it was Cade! Copper was relieved to have Cade save him. He must’ve been transported here too by the mystery character.
“Looks like you got yourself into a bit of a jam.” Cade laughed. He helped Copper up. “What are you doing out here anyway?”
“I’m was on my way to the corruption to fight the Eater of Worlds… alone. But that didn’t work out well, as you see.” Copper responded embarrassed. Henry pulled out a box and opened it. Inside was medical supplies that Copper had never seen before. There was special bandages and alcohol mixtures to heal wounds. There was a multitude of healing elixirs and potions sealed off with corks. Cade took the alcohol and put it on a rag. He carefully rubbed the rag against Coppers legs and arms. He then bandaged them. He instructed Copper to lay down. He grabbed an elixir and poured it over Coppers stomach. They elixir glowed as it touched Copper. Copper felt alive and regenerated. All the wounds were gone, but it left scars. Cade closed the case, returning all the supplies he had used. Copper stood up relieved. Cade put the case away and started talking, “I have some important information you may want to hear. It involves H. P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu.”
