I would go for a 2 foot stainless steel pipe they are pretty low maintenence and can thrive in most conditions but make sure to dry them off when they get wet,they really don't grow that much and don't needs walks,though they do like basking in the sun and they are good indoor and out door as long as they have a dry place to stay.
