We open February's edition of the Red Star Monthly with news that the Kommissar has officially decided to continue the CSUNC's hosting of events in Arma 3. While the events hosted last month in January were smaller operations held occasionally to test the waters, future events can be expected to be longer, more frequent, and to be of higher quality.

The current plan for these events is to finish up the Novoslav Intervention in Taviana campaign with one or two more events, followed by some sort of operation using ACE3 (A mod to add detail and realism to combat) for the first time after testing it on a smaller scale. Future events past this point will be decided once they near. Again, if you have any ideas for scenarios to build missions for in the future, please bring them up with a commissioned Komandir!

We would also like to formally report that in recent times, the CSUNC has been gradually less involved in the old front of Garry's Mod. While our group does have a fair amount of tradition and history in this game, the CSUNC has never been built or centred around it. There are multiple reasons behind this shift, including technological difficulties on multiple people's parts. We would also like to make it very clear that we are not entirely withdrawing from Garry's Mod. Instead, we are essentially pulling away an anchor from Garry's Mod and allowing ourselves to shift more to other games.

As this is the first Red Star Monthly edition of 2018, we would like to wish everyone a happy new year! We are looking forward to many good things in this year and are set to make this year a good one.

We have received word from Strayed of RFAI that his group is becoming uninvolved in the old political scape of GMod. Instead, they will focus on the community itself. The most prominent part of their reasoning is to distance themselves from the slowly-worsening energy of the part of the community which has been a topic for discussion lately. We would like to congratulate RFAI on this bold decision and wish them the best of luck for their new future!

Finally, we have made the decision to continue hosting events in Arma 3. These events will be happening off-of-schedule, but announcements will be made well in advance. The majority of people attending will be members of the CSUNC, but non-enlisted people are also welcome to attend, at least for the time being. Feel free to share any ideas for events with Kommissar Bonkaholic.

As snowfall coats plains and cities alike, people across the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and the holiday season. This day is one of the most special of the year: one on which we practice some of our families' most cherished traditions and show gratitude in each others' company. Children excitedly spring out of bed in the morning to see what gifts have been left under the tree.

Personally, living in south-eastern Louisiana, I had the joy of seeing similar excitement among my schoolmates as our town saw notable snowfall for the first time in many of their lives. While we celebrate this wonderful season at the year's close, we of the Novoslav Stavka would like to wish a merry Christmas or a happy Hanukkah to all! As Marshal Data said, "Christmas is just as much about giving as receiving, maybe even more." As the 2018 year approaches, we are hopeful that it will be one full of happiness and good health to all of you and your families.

This month's issue is released one day late due to an awaited response from another nation not arriving within time. Despite waiting an additional day, this response has yet to come in. We apologize and hope to learn from this unfortunate incident to more accurately hold to the fixed schedule in the future.

December's Red Star Monthly opens with news of the return of the former Elias Schild. In his time, Elias was the fascist leader of New Germania during conflicts such as the Novoslav-German Wars. Since his return from a long period missing, Elias has come clean to the public and created a new, USA-based faction which currently opposes the imperialist ISA nation. When asked for word describing his return, Elias replied to a Novoslav reporter,

"I may have done some things in the past, very bad things, but I can assure you I have turned over a new leaf. I have apologized for my transgressions against the community, and have begun making a new, wholesome, American group. Our only enemy as of now is the devious, fascist ISA, and our war against them is a victorious one due to our brothers in arms. We shall bring the hammer of justice upon these snakes heads!"

We welcome Elias back and are happy to see him as a new friend rather than an old adversary. The Novoslav Stavka also would like to announce its upcoming collaboration with Elias in the setup of museums commemorating the First and Second Novoslav Wars. We will report further developments on this topic as they occur.

In other news, Major Ilya of Izakia has sent a report to Novoslavia on the topic of recent engagements, primarily against ISA. In this report, Major Ilya primarily challenges the honor of ISA's forces as observed during combat:

"Well, We have fought ISA for majority of recent times, all I can say is, they dont understand honour from the looks of it. They payed for their MBT instead of learning how to make it, stole Izakian technology, and then have the nerve to claim our ground forces are obsolete. In the battles we have fought, I can further prove my statement by the fact they used illegal equipment to fight Izakian Ground Forces. During fights on Cereal, the admins exposed Manta for using a 60 ton helicopter. Their MBT they fought our 50 ton tank with weighed 63 tons, above the ACF limit. ISA is a good group, but the society it is built around is flawed, and not strong.

While this document sheds light on ISA from the Izakian perspective, it would be reasonable to anticipate a formal response from ISA's leadership. Should such a response come about, this article will be updated with new information.

With plenty of free time in Novoslavia these days, Hammer and Sickle Industries have presented a new concept design adding a new line to the prestigious, time-tested Novo. This line, designated "S" for "Sport," will be a unique series of Novo sports saloons with improved performance from the standard production sedans. The Novo S line, beginning with the Novo 2502 S, will be geared primarily toward both rally and street racing. Below is a Hammer and Sickle Ind. poster showing the 2502 S in rally configuration. The Novo S may be available for export in the future alongside the standard production line, though it is not available at the moment. As usual, further news on the topic will be included in later editions.

We begin November's Red Star Monthly with important news. As of the 16th of October, the CSUNC has joined an alliance of nations including our allies of Izakia and the Kerbal States in a pact against ISA imperialism and aggression. While the CSUNC will not be a leading power in this war, we will gladly answer to calls to arms from our allies to assist them in any battles in which our support is required.

We would like to inform all Novoslav military personnel that the drop in activity (and training events especially) is expected to end around the weekend of 25-26 November. Multiple real-life events have contributed to this unofficial leave, but disruptions are expected to discontinue in approximately two weeks. Around this time, we will resume with both basic and weekly training along with other events, possible including some games in Arma 3. Thank you for your understanding!
