Nice work everyone. 2,500 members is quite an accomplishment and we're not done yet! We are getting a steady stream of people joining everyday.

And we're now the second biggest petition on steam!

Keep it up and make sure to invite your friends. Word of mouth is extremely important so spread the word!

If you haven't already, please invite all your friends. It's pretty easy.

1. Go to the Steam Group's page
2. Click Invite Friends at the upper right corner
3. In the upper left under the tabs where it says select, click ALL
4. Click Invite in the upper right
5. Done!

This is by far the most effective way to make people aware of this petition.

Secondly, we're steadily approaching 2400 signers which is significant because we will become the second largest Steam petition!

But we need much more than 2400, so keep this up everyone. Let's continue on and spread the word. Stay vigilant! :)

Having started this petition less than only 2 months ago, using mostly word of mouth, reaching 2000 members is an impressive milestone and we're showing no signs of slowing down. All members of this group need to take a bow for what was accomplished so far!

Reaching this number so quickly - and steadily - should send a clear message to Activision, Treyarch and Infinity Ward (or whoever is working on the next Call of Duty) that True Dedicated Servers, and all that go with them, are extremely important to the members of the PC Community and its success as a whole.

I have talked to many individual players and clans refusing - "REFUSING" - to play Black Ops 2, I've seen competition sites watch as veteran teams leave due to frustration and even Treyarch's built in league play is dead and buried - and the reasons are all the same - the lack of True Dedicated Servers.

And let's not make this about clans and competition players because this affects solo, public, non-competition players too.

Have you ever thought you were around a corner and got fragged anyway?
Do your kill cams look completely different than what you saw on your screen?
Have you ever wanted to play Nuketown 24/7? On a gameplay you like?
Have you had issues forming parties to play with friends?
Do you go 24-7 one game and 7-24 the next? and suspect connection issues?
Are you forced to play with 1 or 2 bars due to no Treyarch servers near you?
Were you ever annoyed by foul-mouthed typing, voice chatting trolls?

If you answered yes to any of these questions and these things have frustrated the hell out of you, you're in the right place since every one of those items can be solved by having True Dedicated Servers and having the Call of Duty franchise take our petition into consideration.

Second, I wanted to give you all an update on the status of the petition and crunch some numbers with you.

We've just broke the 1,500 member/signer mark which is great!, but we still have a long way to go to make them notice. Luckily, we have just begun! :)

In terms of member/signer counts, we need to look at it in terms of money/revenue since that's what they are going to look at.

If we take the main game purchase at $59.99 US, 1,500 people totals $89,985 which is just about one year's salary for a developer. If we factor in the Season Pass at $49.99 US, 1,500 people totals $74,985. Together that's $164,970.

This is impressive, but as you can see, it's not that much.

However, don't let that discourage you! Here are some interesting numbers.

In the opening week, Black Ops 2 sold 11.2 million units. PC accounted for 400,859 of those. While that's only about 4% of the total units sold, this accounts for a possible $44 million ($24M base game + $20M season pass) in sales which is no small number - and this is just opening week.

Not only does this show that the PC Community is not without some leverage, but we have a ton of untapped players who haven't signed this petition yet! 1,500 is only 0.1% of 400k - and more people have bought the game since!

So, please go out and spread the word to the other 99.9% of the PC players out there. Invite all the friends in your friends list, mention it on websites (where they allow it) tell people in games, etc.

The more people we get to join this group the easiest it will be to get noticed - and then the word will spread even faster.
