The latest update to the han_di_testing branch is currently 2 months old. Going off that, I will wait 4 more months to see if there is any activity or word from the devs/publishers.

No, it's not. Not without creating a whole new group.

If greenlight was advertised as going to have Linux support but does not mention when a Linux version would be made available then I would assume they imply day one release. If it's released and there isn't a Linux version, then I would assume the promise has been broken.

That being said, we do need to reach out to them to get an official statement before we grab the pitchforks. Now, if a game was greenlighted and people started giving them money, they must be held accountable.

EDIT: To clarify, if the game has been greenlighted and they started to accept money, it has the Linux icon to imply Linux support, but the packages in SteamDB do not have any Linux builds, they need to remove the Linux icon. That is more of a false advertising issue and should be brought to Valve attention. Now, if they have stated on their page that they will, indeed, support Linux in the future but can't right now, I would let that slide since they are being completely up front to the customers about their intentions.

Now, I know someone might say, "well, then that's the catch-all. The dev's can say 'oh, we will release a Linux version at some point, just not now.'" And that is why I have the 6-12 months rule. If they don't communicate to their customers the status of the Linux build I would assume it has been cancelled.

Then, on November 5, 2015 we got an update on GamingOnLinux.

The Darksiders 1 port is actually 98% done with only some bugfixing left. Unfortunately it remained in this state for a while as we had to focus on other things.

For Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition we have a Linux port on our list but cant give a timeframe right now.

After over a year it still was not released.

This was originally named Carmageddon: Reincarnation. A Linux version was promised when the kickstarter reached a stretch goal of $600,000. This was passed and the announcement of the MacOS and Linux support was made.

We’ll be committing to supporting Mac and Linux, and you’ll be able to select a version to download at the same $15 and above price. And, like the DRM free version, the shipping date for these versions will be further out, towards the end of 2013.

As of Dec 12, 2016, liamdawe[archive.is] reached out to Warhorse Studios to ask about the Linux builds and they had the following to say.

I can confirm that there won't be a Linux version on release date. I can confirm that we keep the Linux version in mind and would like to realize it in future, however we can't promise that this ever will happen.
