I do not believe that it is statistically possible to beat mikey's hell rush without using assist mode, or cheating in some way. I kinda think that Ben Esposito was trolling us by putting this rush in the game, and having no way to tell if someone is using assist mode just by looking at the screen footage. I think he knows full well that it's impossible, and the whole thing is little more than a social experiment to see how many people will cheat and then try to pass their work off as legitimate.

In Neon white there are a series of soul cards that act as both weapons and movement abilities depending on which mouse button you use. One Card functions slightly differently, "The Book of Life" card is a soul card that has no primarry fie (or left click) but when discarded (right click)can instantly teleport the user to an enemy or other target, instantly killing them and restoring the card. This "telefrag" style mechanic is something that when implement in games is always broken and unfun. However, due to the developer's genius, The Book of Life is both fun and well implemented into Neon White. The Book of Life -or "Boof" for short, due to the unique font causing the 'k' to look more like an 'f' which led to the widely used nickname- is not available for use until the penultimate piece, or "mission" of the game. The individual levels featuring the Boof are built in such a way to enable it to be used to speed through the level, but not enabling it to be used to skip the entirety of the level by teleporting to the end. The requirement to aim to Boof at the target adds a skill requirement to the otherwise overpowered card. During the final bossfight the primary antagonist "Neon Green" more commonly shortened to "Green" has such a strong move set that is fought using the Boof, this final boss battle creates a one-on one duel style bossfight where it feels like a fair fight due to both sides of the battle having such powerful moves. The Boof it itself is the climax of gameplay in Neon White and provides the player with the most enjoyable experience possible. The Boof is easily the best soul card in Neon White.
