We have decided to make a group dedicated for fans of Atari.

The very name brings back such heavy waves of nostalgia, really one could drown quite easily just thinking about it. It defined the dawn of video games, it really was that simple - Lazy Game Reviews

Despite Atari's demise in 1983 it still has a loyal cult following and remains prominent in the video game industry, not relating to the recent attention of the announcement of the Atari Box. It was the first company to create a console, the 2600 that had interchangable cartidges with entirely seperate code in each, as beforehand most games with the exclusion of the Fairchild Channel F in 1976 relied on using the exact same graphics but with different functionality and coding.
