Well, it brings me pleasure to say that round 1 is successfully over. 2 games resulted in forfeit and 2 resulted in games, Broad elements took a forfeit from plutonium reveries, followed by the Dota Zone taking a 2-1 victory over Tiny Rock. From there VCA swept Top Hatters 2-0 and Infinite Abyss forfeited to Purple Wyverns resulting in a 2-0 for them.

With that being said we now move on to the real matches that I have been waiting for, the top 8! All the teams who have advanced to this stage means serious business and have demonstrated that they have what it takes to win this tournament, however, only one truly can.

So now, it brings me pleasure to announce the top 8 teams and who they will play this upcoming weekend!:

These games will determine who receives top 4 status! Meaning the 4 winning teams from these matches get free tickets to season 2 of ArmadaClash (an actual formal joindota Amateur tournament) The games will be held this weekend and this upcoming week and some may or may not be streamed on my twitch. I will personally manage all teams play times and dates in a few hours but for now if your name is listed above just know you have earned this spot and I look forward to seeing your team play (unless you are The Armada, those bois are a bunch of skrubs). If your name is not listed above, unfortunately it is end of the line, I enjoyed your participation and you all are all welcome back in season 2 of The ArmadaClash.

Recently.... I posted an announcement fairly certain in the results, however, these results changed after battleboyz beat ownmega earlier in the day. This actually knocked the round 1 into a 4 way tie for 2nd-5th place.. I thought LONG and hard about who would place what and why... After some reviewing of standin matchups, who won what, who beat who and who lost to who, I have concluded what I believe is the most fair of a top 12 ranking system with record included, in around 5 minutes I will post the bracket and start to message captains about play time for your matchup, be ready to play this weekend sometime (unless you get a bye).

Explanation: (No important info just discussing how I broke the tie)
For the teams wondering how exactly I ranked the top 4 teams who tied allow me to explain.... Let's start with Ownmega, they actually lost to all the teams they were tied to, my initial thought was easy decision put them into 5'th. There was one problem, they were also the only team to beat The Armada in this tournament. "But Ninja You Guys Had 2 Standins.." yeah, thats true, but for the last 2 games (lost 1) Ownmega also played without their captain and their major carry. Own has exhibited (like many other teams) in several matchups that they are very capable of playing extremely dynamically, regardless of the 3 losses which they all lost playing at around 11- midnight their time and on someone elses server without their captain for one of the losses. Taking all of that into consideration, I believe there is a valid argument that when the matches will be conducted on own's servers for certain matchups, they may easily beat these same teams (who knows?) Regardless of this I rank them #2 for these reasons, Kings of the hills finish #3 due to losing to only 1 of the teams it is tied with. They successfully beat Battleboyz and ownmega. They did lose to Dota Zone (getting to that when i discuss their team) and to purple wyverns (as well as the armada) buttttt own was the only team to actually beat purplewyverns so you cannot hold that against them, also own was the only team to beat The Armada so the only real loss they took was to Dota Zone meaning they rank ahead of BBOYZ and Kings of the Hills by default. #4 goes to Battleboyz because they were in the same boat that KOTH was, they lost to the armada and purplewyverns... The only loss from the tie they took was well, the team that finished above them: Kings of the Hills, They also beat Dota Zone so rightfully they belong above them. That leaves #5, The Dota Zone, unfortunatelly I had to put them out of the top 4 for the following reasons: firstly they had the most bye's of any of the 4 tied teams, so I know least about their skillsets, secondly they did lose to battleboyz, even if Dota Zone was able to beat KOTH or own, battleboyz also beat own and therefore I can't go off of that. When it comes down to it, Dota Zone was HIGHLY active in their players, they often never played unless they had at least 4 players, teams like BBOYZ beat teams like own with 3 standins. Dota Zone also had server advantage in nearly all games. When I look at the team I see LOTS of potential but based off the performance against teams they should have beat like BBOYZ it shows inconsistency. OWN has an excuse, they had a 300 ping disadvantage, KOTH typically played with standins in some games and even against high teir teams. that's about it for my reasoning, the tournament bracket will be posted momentarily and I will be messaging captains to schedule times to play. Not long ago I posted an announcement that went over the tournament structure, after beginning bracketing the tournament I realized it would be heavily stacked against the 5'th place the 6'th place and the first place teams as well as heavily in favor of the fourth place team. the tournament will be structured the same EXCEPT for round 1, I will be making it much more fair so that the team that finished 4'th does not play either the 11'th or 12'th place team and that the team that finished first does not play the 4'th or 6'th place team, that way things are more fair all around instead of just the first round.

Good job, for those of you who are still reading this, you have made it through round 1, now the real fun can begin. The entire purpose of round 1 was not to test your metal but to tests your teams metal, 4 teams dropped out, but for the 12 teams that hung in there I am proud to say you are in it to win it now. This seasons results are now being analyzed to create an ellaborate tournament bracket! Now, I know some teams have some time problems and did not play that much this season, the good news is you wil have around 2-4 days from the time you are reading this to play your best of 3 matchup, tomorrow I will post the tournament bracket for everyone to view, the tournament features 12 teams. The top 4 teams will receive a bye from the first stage of the brackets, the 8 remaining teams will face off based off of the seasons performance (0-15 will play 1-14). Series' will be best of 3's meaning the first team to win 2 of the 3 games will move on, the lsoer is out of the tournament. The 4 teams that had a bye will then play the 4 teams who advanced in the stage 1 best of 3's, the games will work like this
1 vs 5 (Match 1)
2 vs 6 (Match 2)
3 vs 7 (Match 3)
4 vs 8 (Match 4)
Basically top 4 teams that got byes will play the seeded teams in order of season 1 performance. These will also be best of 3's and single elimination much like stage 1 of the brackets. This leaves 4 teams, all 4 of these teams will receive a free ticket to ArmadaClash season 2 for your entire team. Further prizes will be rewarded to the first place team. The teams will play based off of the prior stages winners such that:
Winner of Match 1 vs. Winner of Match 2
Winner of Match 3 vs. Winner of Match 4
These games will be best of 5's meaning the first team to win 3 games will move on and the team that fails to win 3 games will be eliminated. If a team cannot play all of these matches in 1 day, they will role over to the next day, A team will not be permitted to play in this stage unless at least 3 registered players of the team are attending (You cannot invite 4 10K mmr players, you must play with people I know from prior matches). Also, trash talking of ANY kind, cheating with friends who reveal net worth, ward locations or any relative information is punishable by either a DQ of the game or a forfeit from the tournament depending on the severity. The winner of those 2 games will move on to the grand finals a best of 5 facing the two very best teams off from the tournament, the winner of this wins around a page and a half of cosmetics including sets, immortals and lots of mythicals and rares for the team to split, they will be delivered to the winning teams captain. I will contact all teams tomorrow with who your team plays in the bracketed stage and request a time for your two teams to play. If you cannot play please DQ yourself resulting in another teams advance, I will be very flexible with the scheduling and I expect you all will be too. Basically I will personally coordinate a time for your two teams to play based on what days and time you are all available so no miscommunications will EVER occur *Cough* Ownmega ;) *Cough*

Servers: I am well aware that a multitude of players do not like US east servers, that's a difficult thing but here is my solution, prior to the game the two teams will settle servers on either one of three ways, auto server which will be the most applicable server being used for all games, selected server where both teams agree on a server for all games or rotating servers where teams agree to play on each others selected servers between each game of the series.
