Bain's Guide
Speaking of the drawings from The Guide of Bain which contain BDN rather than CGO (assuming the BDN drawings have more importance than CGO, as CGO drawings could be older whereas BDN drawings are more recent and hence link to the secret). Starting with the first 'Tools of the Trade' drawing somebody in the other secret thread I subscribe to posted about the tarot cards depicting The Wheel of Fortune http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheel_of_Fortune_(Tarot_card), The Sun http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sun_(Tarot_card) and The Moon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Moon_(Tarot_card). I had been trying to figure out what the hell they were so off I trotted to wikipedia and tarot meanings, got bored and hunted their origins:

Tarot was originally a 15th century card game, which got occult meaning in the 18th century, often used in the study of Hermetic Qabbalah (something Cagliostro would have been interested in). The images we see are from cards in the Rider-Waite deck (1909), an esoteric deck, although as they lack colour they more resemble the Paul Foster Case (1884-1954) deck, but the sun and moon are not the same. There are 78 cards, so it might be worth looking at them from time to time if they relate, seeing as they have been used already.

I got interested, and found this guy called Eliphas Lévi (1810-1875) (thought his name might mean Elephant, nope!). He worked to get Tarot back to the Tarot de Marsailles style, he influenced the design of the Rider-Waite deck. He was also the first person to declare that the pentagram (five-pointed star) with one point down and two points up represents evil and the opposite good. Here there is a link to the street design of D.C. and the White House being at the bottom of the pentagram. Some occultists believe this opens a door for the devil to interact with the president, maybe used as a metaphor for us gaining access or Elephant vs. President. Anyway, Eliphas Lévi is seen as one of the key founders of the 20th century revival of magic and influenced many people through Hermetic Qabbalah.

Paul Foster Case's deck was made for the Builders of the Adytum, which has its roots in the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn [HOGD] (1887-1978) and Freemasonry. The HOGD did not interest me, although two of its members are the creators of the Rider-Waite tarot deck. What DID interest me was that Case had claimed to recieve a phone call from Master R (Master Rococzy, also known as Saint Germain, but it's difficult to pinpoint him, carry on reading) who had been influencing him in his head for all of his life. This Master R fellow, was the teacher and sponsor of the high initiate who became known as the Ascended Master Saint Germain (a.k.a. the Count of Saint Germain).

The Count of Saint Germain (1712-1784) is said to have met Giuseppe Balsamo (1743-1795) (a.k.a. Cagliostro) in London. He is also one of the two possible writers of The Most Holy Trinosophia, the other being Cagliostro! (This book has been mentioned before in threads, along with the Count of Saint Germain) Cagliostro is said to have carried this book with him on his final journey to Rome where he died (Rome is on the books in bank deposit boxes and people wanted links). There are places online to read The Most Holy Trinisophia.

Cagliostro, as has been mentioned before, was alleged to have been involved in the affair of the diamond necklace. Although he was acquitted, he may still have been part of it, seeing as he has supposedly written this book which Bain has, so he is a mastermind thief.

Now Cagliostro was a member of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, which has its base in Rome (admittedly after Cagliostro's time, but still - it links to Rome being on the books in bank). Napoleon Bonaparte (mentioned in this thread) ejected the order from Malta in 1798. If Cagliostro was still alive, which people have hinted he may be if his alchemical history with the Philosopher's stone is anything to go by, he would be immensely angry at Napoleon for ejecting his order. And Cagliostro likes necklaces, so why not get some guys together to steal it for him. It currently resides in Washington D.C.

Either Bain is Cagliostro (doubtful), the Count of St Germain (explaining his apparent friendship with Cagliostro - he has his book and also calls him 'Ol' C') or Baldwin, but I have little evidence for this.
