Hello everyone,

A little over three years ago we founded Alias Server Network. The community started as a small and tightly knit group of traders, and it quickly grew into the most popular CSGO trade server, with well over a million connections per year. The server has required a significant amount of time and money to run; however, the enjoyment from the community made the commitment well worth it.

Due to Valve’s trade update traffic on the server decreased over night from nearly maximum capacity at all times to barely any users at any times. Over the last month we waited and hoped that Valve would revert their changes to trading, but none were made and traffic has remained low. As a result, we have decided to indefinitely close the server. Everything (server, map, plugins, etc) has been saved, so in the event that the update is reverted or trading resurges the server can be brought back up within a day. Based on a recent statement by a Valve employee this seems unlikely, so this most likely will be farewell for good.

Thank you to to the staff members that have collectively donated countless hours of their time to moderate the server, especially JonSnow, Soel, Tango, PartyPetah, and Pancake who have all served as head administrators. It has been an absolute pleasure to run Alias Server Network, and we intend to stay active in the trading community through new projects. Hopefully we will see you all on server or another project again in the future.
