If you get someone approaching you with a chat request (usually from a user called Scibsj) and saying "free games", it's just the same as a paedophile approaching you when yr a kid and offering you sweeties.

So, after my burst of anger towards idiotism, I realized I've started this thing on wrong foot. There should be a welcoming message and all that and thats what Im gonna do now.

On behalf of all website's staff members, I welcome you all in Abandonia's Steam Community. Started and moderated by admin and chief of the Abandonia Times Red_avatar and me, TheChosen, supermod and updater.

So why to come in steam? Basic reason was "Why not?", as we've recently opened up LastFM, Youtube and Twitter accounts, Steam looked like a good choice too. Although there are several problems with Steam (technical ones), its still fairly popular and its an easy way to purchase games. Its also good place to look company for multiplayer games and make new friends and war-buddies.

Speaking of games, some of you might now that couple of old classics are available here at Steam, including the whole X-Com Series and several Lucasarts adventure games. If you need to purchase games, buy these now. You'l get good classic gaming, action, adventure and nice fuzzy feeling in your heart knowing that not all your games arent illegally downloaded from Abandonia.

Fun fact: Red_avatar pretty much hates steam so much he wrote an article about it in our upcoming Abandonia Times ezine. Still, If you look at his profile, you'l see that he's got LOTS of games in there. And not much time spend on them.....

So, I assume most of you Team Fortress 2 players have probably heard about the recent "scandal"; Everyone who's tried or has earned hats by idling with third party programs (or just by idling on the idling servers, or so I've heard) had their hats removed, and those who didnt got a new "unique" hat. Lots of people have been outrageous about this, mainly those who lost their hats, and I'd like to say few words.

Now, really, If you earned your hats by not playing at all, then whats the point? Its a game. Youre supposed to play it. You might as well go play the game rather than idling, and If you still want to idle, at least play as an engineers and build something first.

Besides, they're just hats. Decoration! It doesnt affect anything. As its given randomly, its not even a proper sign to show your status!

Even more ridicilous is that this has divided some players, with halole's not giving shit about halo-guys and vise versa, like not healing those who have halos and targeting specifically those persons etc. What the hell is this? Team Fortress 2 or Nazi Germany?

Grow up people. If any of you lost hats just because you went once to idling server, my condolences. I know how hard it is to earn the hats (before the halo, I only had one which I got couple of days ago), but keep in mind that its just decoration.
