You continue to amaze me. Our fledgling group has grown to a whopping 100 people!

I never dreamed that we'd grow to even a fraction of the size of the official Alien Swarm group - although now that I think about it, even having 1 person would still make us a fraction of them, just a very *small* fraction.

But I digress. The point is, WE'RE FRIGGIN' HUGE!

And guess how we oughta celebrate?

That's right, Speed Run Sunday is back for more! And once again, we're having a group chat session beforehand. Times are at the bottom.

A quick note - for the speed run event, I've decided to rotate the time between America, Europe, and Asia. So, this new event will start so that it's in the morning for Asia and the evening for America, and Europe will join later. I'm doing this so that everybody can get involved at least one-out-of-three weekends.

Chat: All day Saturday. Keep your eyes open for a notification.

Speed Run: Tentatively scheduled for 1 AM Zulu Time/GMT.

Once again, you can find a Time Zone Map here to plan ahead (Zulu Time/GMT is at the Greenwich Meridian, 12 Noon).

Bones, you deserve it.

Bones is one of our newer members, but he gets to be our first Player of the Week for having a superb Youtube Playlist of all 7 levels done with a speedrun pace. The quality is "meh" at 1080p, but that's Youtube for you - the action itself is quite solid, and I highly recommend that anybody stuck on a particular level go and check out his playlist.

In case you didn't see the update to today's event, we are coordinating the speedrun event from our Group Chat Room. If you want to participate in our speed run, PLEASE JOIN THE CHAT so that you can get linked up with some of your fellow group members.

This will likely/hopefully become standard practice for our group, and I'll make sure to point this out immediately in event notifications in the future. Thanks for your patience.

Well, gentlemen, you certainly didn't make this easy for me. What with you living all over the world - we have members in at least 3 continents already! - it made it incredibly difficult for me to schedule a time, and somebody's probably going to have to do an all-nighter if they want to join the rest of us.

At the same time, however, I want to meet as many of you as I can. By no means am I the smartest/fastest/amazing-est player here, and I'm eager to learn your own tips and tricks of the trade. So if any one of you has to play all night, I'll be willing to play all day alongside you. That's me: your friendly neighborhood admin, taking one for the team.

The best thing I could come up with was to organize using Zulu time also known as Greenwich Mean Time, which you can find here:

So, as of right now, our event will begin at 6:00 PM Zulu Time/GMT, July 25th.

Obviously, most of us don't live in Greenwich, so here's a time zone map you can use to figure out your own times based on where you live:

For example, those on US Pacific time will begin the event at 11:00 AM.

I realize that this is going to be inconvenient for somebody somewhere, so bear in mind that this event is happening ALL DAY. As our European members finish up for the night, our Asian members will be getting started. Only the most caffienated will survive the night.

I'll also be willing to shift it forward/back a few hours if too many people object/throw a hissy fit/whatever. So as always, leave a comment below.

Finally, nothing says "lame group" like an empty chat room, so myself and a few other admins (if I can rope those rascals together) are gonna hang out in that room for a little bit. So feel free to join us for a bit - we'll meet, we'll greet, we'll swap some 1337...

Never mind, that rhyme sucks. Just join us in the room and let's talk trash and tactics. Trashtics!
