ANP King of the Hill

Current Kings: Halcyon, Deepfrog, RTJ, RakeBob, Pizza

You can challenge them whenever and the match has to be played within one week or the team that has players available (the refs decide what this means) will win on walkover.

Referees: Agiel and Rain

So I was thinking we should try something new to get competitive NT going again. Big drawn out tournaments are obviously problematic and even a smaller weekend tournament might run into trouble with scheduling. But a more relaxed king of the hill thing could work.

My idea of the format would be we start with a 5v5 and then a new team of 5 challenge the winner once a week or so. For the match to be valid at least 3 of the players from last week must be present.

What are your thoughts and when do we start?

Sounds pretty nice but I can't see much difference from our usual ded PUGs since usually the same people will play anyway. Or I guess I'm just too used to fact that nobody plays them. I would totally play it by the way

The difference with this format is that there would be some incentive for the reigning team to defend their honour which will keep interest up. Any set of 5 players can challenge them whenever and we would probably set a time limit of like a week before the reigning team loses by default. There will also be some rotation of the players in the reigning team since you can sub up to two players and the subs become part of the main team when counting subs for the next match.

Yeah. I would like to take part in that. Maybe someone can make an extra King of the Hill Map for this. With mountains, a flag and shit.

Sounds good, I'd like to put my feet up for a while and not worry about any kind of competitive play for a short while but with the release still fresh I feel like sooner is better than later.

So here's a question. Do we start this out with random teams (like tacticool tuesday where the winner stays) or do we wait until the stars align and we magically get two self-organized teams?

How about we get at least one random team to challenge the king, and all other self-organized teams can play afterwards/before the match with the random one?

I'm finally back from my vacation so my schedule should be less chaotic moving forward. I think it's about time we start doing this.

If we can't get two proper 5 man teams I would suggest we combine it with Tactical Tuesday to get the ball rolling. That means two "random" teams, the winner stays and a new random team challenges them. Soon enough we should get self compiled teams that want to challenge the King.

I should be available the rest of the week if you think we can do it earlier, otherwise let's decide a King next Tuesday!

NO!!!! As in: I don't want to wait that long. How about we make a Tacticool Thursday so we can atleast try to get the first ANP King of the Hill going tomorrow?
I really want to play more neotokyo°, but I need the tacticoolness in it.
