66th Highlanders and Rifles

After much deliberation with Field Marshal Rojoyerf, it is with much pain that I inform the members of this glorious and active community that was built from the ground up, completely from scratch on December 25th, 2015 that on the 27th of June, 2016, the 66th Highlanders and Rifles is officially disbanding.

It has been a brilliant half year serving with you guys, in the highly disciplined line battles as well as the funny as ♥♥♥♥ ones. We have had a brilliant history in this time and have gone from a Regiment of 4 people that ran around on the 33rd_Battle_One server as Partisans without a teamspeak server, without any concept of PTS, and without any concept of drill or organisation to a Regiment that had at least a little influence with the wider community, had excellent systems and elaborate drill. We have gone from a small band of friends just messing around on the internet to an actual community that spans across a good few different games, spreading the 66th love to all.

We originally started back in 2014, as two Year 8 High School kids that had an immature sense of humour, and no sense of what a Regiment actually was. The 666th ♥♥♥♥♥ Worshippers was created in September of that year, and we gathered a total of five people. We did not once have training or go to any events, but Rojo and I got a good taste for the outstanding community on this game.

The next year, Rojo and I wished to restart the Regiment so did. By this point, neither me or him had any experience whatsoever with Regiments or how they worked, and pretty much had the same knowledge as we did before, while in the 666th. On Christmas Day, one of the 6's got knocked off of our name and we became the "66th Highlanders and Rifles".

The first two people that we recruited were Popcorn and Himmler. Popcorn was discharged as Lieutenant Colenel (We had no idea what kind of rank that was at the time), and Himmler has been discharged the very day I am writing this. I did do this with a bit of regret, as Himmler was the person to introduce us to the 76th Highlanders, who have been a great help to us in the time we existed.

The Regiment had its ups and downs from that point. Some points which made Rojo and I just want to give up, and others that made us feel like the Regiment was never going to fall.

I would like to give a huge thanks to Captain Bandej for his devotion to the Regiment through thick and thin, and his drive even through the worst of times. He added a lot of substance to the culture that was built and is one of the reasons that we carried on for as long as we did through the bad end of our existence.

I would especially like to thank Colonel Hux from the 76th with his help while we were an active NW Regiment, offering a lot of advice and guidance, even bailing us out a few times when we didn't have the right numbers to show up to an event.

All in all, Rojo and I are incredibly thankful for all of the people who were in this Regiment, and your contribution has, and always will be, highly appreciated by us in the years to come.

We are still going to remain as an active "Cross Game" community, and are going to keep a lot of the same systems that we had before, however this will not as a Regiment in NW, but instead a group simply known as "The 66th".
