Our unofficial motto is Life Comes First, as many of us hold down full-time jobs, family responsibilities, and all the other spices of life which take time away from the things we’d like to do, like playing a military game with our online buddies…but we all understand that those things take priority, always. As such, we have no ironclad attendance requirement, though fair warning: if you disappear from the scene, you may be set to inactive, which can be remedied with a simple PM to any of our Admins, so it’s no issue either way. As far as event scheduling goes, we try to get a sense from our members as to what times work best for them, usually a week or so in advance, and then try our best to set something up for those who are able to join us for that event. We all know that schedules can fluctuate on a minute-by-minute basis, but if you’ve got a relatively consistent schedule, be sure to bring that up; it’ll go a long way in helping us determine when we can set up an event when there’s a good chance people will be available. If you’re like most of us, and that’s not the case, just let us know when you’d be free and willing to play; a simple “Hey, I’m free X-day at X-time!” also helps out a great deal, and we thank you in advance for helping us streamline this process.
At the moment, we’re looking at running an Afghan-inspired campaign set-up, though we have also dabbled in many other conversion mods, such as the Halo and Unsung/Vietnam modules, just to keep things fresh and allow for a variety of locales and player populations. Depending on how many people we get like yourself who have more than just a passing interest in this type of thing, we may host events in these other modules, but for now, we’d like to stick with the Afghan setting so we can find our footing again.
