Thanks to you, our Steam Hardware beta testers, we identified and fixed hundreds of bugs, and improved our designs based on the data and feedback generated by all of your playtesting. Your effort has been invaluable to us, and we hope you’ll continue to wear that community badge with pride.

After eighteen months, our Steam Hardware beta is now officially ended. While we are no longer able to support hardware issues with our prototype devices, we want to let you know that we are now offering a limited number of Steam Hardware units for early delivery, before our official launch. One last thing: Until you can hold the controller in your hands and experience it for yourself, we hope you’ll have a look at our new controller demo video for more detail about everything the Steam Controller can do.

Happy new year everybody, by now most of us should be starting to settle down back into some form of a normal routine, and will likely get to start using our steam machines in a more normal capacity. Some of us won't be able to use them as much as we have in the past couple weeks, and good luck playing all the games you picked up during the holiday sale.

It seems that we keep submitting issues and Valve has been working through those issues, weather they are just feedback to be taken bugs to be fixed, or features to be implemented. It seems like progress is being made (for the people who are still alive.)

I just wanted to remind everybody that we are beta testing many things here and i'm sure valve would rather have more info than less. So regardless of how you are using your steam machine, if you have a feature request or bug or just plain old feedback on any of these items, please submit it to the bug tracker - let's make this thing awesome for everyone!

Here we are 7 days after we were all notified that we have been selected. We have almost gathered half of the users!

Cynagen has done a great job of building the community feeling for everyone, with his website[cynagen.com].

And now we have some Valve support in the group! So we can start getting some legit answers straight from the source! (pun intended?)

Congrats again to everyone that has been selected, and keep up the great work of spreading the word about the exciting opportunity we have been given.

When you receive your machine, do the world a favor and take some pics, record some video and let everybody know what number you are. There are two threads that are going to gathering all of this information - please use them!
