Open Beta beginds tomorrow, or later tonight, not sure... but it is very COD friendly map as long as you play by the rules of BF.
-Teamwork is key.
-K/D is an afterthought but still important to kill.
-The objectives are what matter
-Use Spotting to help your team.
-Use your Squad spawn, no point in running a mile to the action
Same as the Alpha: Metro - Rush.
Pre-Order gets 2 days early access.
But I think the 29th is a great chance for you guys on the fence to play. I think the most impressive aspect is how dynamic their requirements are.
BF3 requires:
Core 2 Duo @ 2.4 Ghz.
2GB RAM.
512MB Dx10 Video Card.
Windows Vista/7. No XP...
That's fairly low... about the same as Black Ops except for the OS. But even more impressive is how high it scales up. To play on ultra, you'd need 2 x GTX 580s. That's insane. So, most people should be able to play smoothly, then its just a matter of what you want it to look like after that.
Shame no BF3 in steam, but I have it preordered on Origin. I'm sure if possible, I'll add it unofficially like I do for BFBC2.
