Absolutely. I love achievement hunting and it's great when a game has achievements but there are some great games out there that don't have achievements for whatever reason. I'd be missing out on those if i overlooked them simply for not having achievements.

No achievement no buy

Classic games i ever liked i buy also without achievements. Games that i like. Sometimes some games get the achievements later on. Unique games do not need achievements for me, these are like a piece of art for me.

I prefer the achievement-less games. But, I’m not looking for more games at the moment. I’ve already had more games than free times for play with them. :sad_boulder:

Sometimes yes. The game has to be especially interesting for me or have great reviews.

Even then I usually check the forums and look for the discussion about whether achievements will be included. This is the prime reason why I haven't yet bought such games as Dominions 4 and Space Engineers and why I haven't played first Witcher yet.

That said, I play a couple games without achievements every year, but I seldomly buy them unless heavily discounted.

In bundles I might get them if a) they are included with other games with achievements or b) it includes enough titles that buying it feels worthwhile or c) they are old games that have nostalgy value for myself.

Last year the single player games I played without achievements were Valiant Hearts: The Great War (it had an excellent artstyle and reviews) and Mass Effect (which I had played previously and because it's great), Tesla Effect (which had an interesting backstory), FTL (since it's super) and one RPGMaker game one of my newly favourite developers had made for a contest.

I care less about achievements in multiplayer games, since we usually play many different games at LAN parties and accessibility is one of their prime factors. There, we've played (of the achievement-less games) The Ship, Of Guards and Thieves, Grand Theft Auto 2, MineCraft and Don't Starve Together.

I recently started Undertale. I would probably have bought it later. However, I got it as a Christmas present so I obviously have to play it despite it doesn't have cheevos.

Yes, if I want the game.

Very rarely actually now that i think about it. Most of the time i check what achievements there are and might even then decide to actually not buy.

Yes but its a small number in comparision and they are generally targeted as MP/coop games that I can enjoy with friends.

Yes, if there's a game that I really want to play. But it's pretty rare. These days, an overwhelming majority of the games I get without achievements come from bundles.
ladynadiad 9 MAR 2016 a las 12:59 p. m.
Nope, only way I get them now is via bundles that include at least 1 game with achievements that I want.

All the time. It's pretty low on my priority list but I do appricate achievements. A game with achievements that are seemingly unobtainable (maybe they are for kickstarter backers, or I'm just unlikely to obtain them because of multiplayer requirements like co-op with X friends or obtain Y level in a dead game) are a huge turn off. I don't buy games because of their achievements but when I do buy a game I like to get them all.

It depends.

For new games (anything from 2011-onwards), achievements-less games have to grab my interest at the start, either from an interesting synopsis, or gameplay if a demo is available.

If it's an older game I own physically/used to own, and it's given a rerelease on Steam with no achievements, I generally will give it a pass.

Hardly ever

I buy games without achievement if i like them after reading some reviews or watching gameplay but is no much. It is less fun and i only complete story and that it. Maybe second playthrough on the hardest dificulty

Not anymore as I noticed having more and more games in my library equals choosing the ones that have achievements to play. It would be a waste of money then. I still activate the keys for non-achievement games when it comes to buying bundles though, they end up in a special category for games with no achies and are waiting for better times, I guess :D Also, I've got some old games that I used to love just to have them in my library, but I rarely play them.
