It's not weird at all why they suddenly left and want back in. They left with a very close vote because young voters didn't vote as much as elders. Almost entirely old people voted to leave.
The party that won copied some polices of the other party, one of them was leaving the E.U. They didn't actually believe that and hoped no one would be stupid enough to vote out. Their money was worth 1.35, but after seven years of hard work was raised to be worth 1.70. As soon as they left the EU it was down to 1.30 within seven hours.

Not really, he's considered one of the strongest heroes in the game because of his absurd damage and quick charging ult. As well as his incredible pick off power and his ability to self sustain. Also the hitbox on his hook is absurdly inauccurate and is a giant rectangle around the hook. Allowing you to hook people behind cover or from behind other team mates if he barely misses them.

Why wouldn\t it? Added a whole new gamemode for people tired of the actual game, or didn't like the actual game but wanted horde mode. It was hidden behind a huge ass ARG for years.TF2 was also still in it's prime and Overwatch wasn't even directly mentioned if it all during those years.No surprise it'd be big.
