It's not weird at all why they suddenly left and want back in. They left with a very close vote because young voters didn't vote as much as elders. Almost entirely old people voted to leave.
The party that won copied some polices of the other party, one of them was leaving the E.U. They didn't actually believe that and hoped no one would be stupid enough to vote out. Their money was worth 1.35, but after seven years of hard work was raised to be worth 1.70. As soon as they left the EU it was down to 1.30 within seven hours.

The pound has actually risen back up quite a bit since Brexit. It only lowered because of frightened foreign investors.

I'm glad.

I mean why would they hope no one would vote if they made the darn thing in the first place?
I don't get it.

And yeah one of my brit friends told me that something like 60% of the people that voted for coming out of the EU were elders, and lots of them live in rural zones.

Because it'd hopefully attract people from the other party since that was a major promise they had...
