I will first check the rules, compare the post in question and the rules very closely, before reaching a verdict on what to do, as well as checking the offenders previous infractions. I'd then issue a ban or warning accordingly.

A mod should be light hearted, able to take a joke but also switch into serious gear. He should also not flamebait and flame, unless it is a playful little jab and both persons know that it's just banter. He should also be stern and strict with rules, but not so much that this turns into WW2 Nazi Germany

Basically don't be an ass or a strict rule nazi.

I do also believe these are all qualities I posses.
