That depends on what mobile games we are talking about; I despise the payment model developers such as King, Zynga and Supercell are using, I find it disgusting and dishonest, although it pays well, so I can see why they are using it.
There are some real gems among the indie devs though (and a few non-indie), for example; I really like just about everything made and/or published by Noodlecake Studios.
