Well the accurate answer is: the last update we got new weapons was Smissmas 2014 (Iron Bomber, Quickibomb Launcher)
Its still a long loooong time.

Even Love & War had shitty weapons, not as good as before.

Don't expect anything good from valve at this point.
They may include pyro stuff in the upcoming halloween update tho.
