What a shame.

Same could be said for any old piece of techonology. Heck, my old CRT TV lasted a bit over 15 years before it finally threw in the towel.

Yet all these new LCD TV's break down after like 3 or 5 years.

Advanced gadgets -> much more electronics & components inside -> more problems will appear with time.
