Surprise surprise, the light novel is so much better than the adaptation.

The Trigun movie that came out a few years ago was pretty good. It doesn't really spoil anything about the anime either. Also, the anime ending kinda sucks compared to the manga since it was made before the manga was finished.

firstly, there's China. secondly, North Korea has the fourth largest army in the world, and is nuclear armed. Thirdly, the US is currently led by a fairly out-of-touch (to say the least) America-first President who's probably rather eager to not look like Russia's puppet, and Russia is led by a rather anti-Western and alarmingly totalitarian (well, as much as he can be) President.

Trump is very much in touch with core Americans.
