I have a few merch items. I even have a little squid sitting here on my desk. I also have a cute eevee plush and a boo Amiibo as well to name a few. I am the same as SamiSha. I like having certain items that remind me of things that I really enjoy. You don't have a poster or a little figure of something you really like?

Or appeal to their demographic. Lego and Minecraft mix well. I can't defend them post microsoft buyout, but they were not too bad before that. you can not blame a company for trying to sell some merch on the side. That is just business. Then again, maybe that is why Notch left.

Wasn't vanilla minecraft always targeted for kids though? That really has not changed. You just got older.

I mean when they started selling more merchandise than shirts, like legos. then you can tell they were trying to grab the money of the unfaithful 6 year old.

Old Minecraft will always have a special place in my heart but it's clear who the real demographic is now.

Typically, yes indeed. Depends on the mod as well. There are plenty out there that ruin the base game. Although that comes down to personal preference I suppose.
