The problem I have with this is I find it hard to take the plot seriously when the protagonist has a magic belly button. Not saying it's bad (I'd have to watch it to make that judgement) but it puts me off somewhat.

I understand that. It's very easy for me to drop shows, but i forced myself to sit through the worse episodes and got to the good stuff, and i learned to tolerate those things along the way! c:

Can confirm. If you're not convinced:

-They made a girl attempt suicide over a harmless drawing (luckily she's alive but still recieving hate)
-They bullied 2 staff members for tiny things, made both of them quit their social media
-They wrote false negative reviews for a hotel as a joke, because it was featured in an episode, causing it to almost go bankrupt
-Continues to shame anyone who doesn't share the same headcanons as them

The show starts off very weak. But trust me, it gets AMAZING once you get to the lter seasons. IMO, have patience.
