It's the valve servers in Australia. While I had a ping of 2 for about 5 seconds, the ping of 3 lasted several minutes. Every other time I get a ping of 5.

You've probably got some real qualltiy wifi. But my point stands: Ethernet is faster. You just need to use the right cables.
