He wrote several books and never espoused nihilism in any of them. He specifically argued for the creation of "new philosophers" to avoid the coming nihilism, which he absolutely abhorred.

Only painful and miserable if you choose to go chemo. Most cancers won't bother you until the very end.

At least when I know when I die, I'll have time to tick off more stuff off the bucket list, spend more time with loved ones, and make sure my affairs are sorted out before I actually die. Dying suddenly is more difficult for everyone else.

Oh. Right.

How about this, then:

1. Get cancer.
2. Take care of business.
3. Die in your sleep painlessly.

Yep, that's what palliative care is for.
