Steve Ditko and Spiderman was the most infamous case.

Stan Lee came up with the concept of a superhero who was a "spider man", and asked Ditko to come up with some sketches. Ditko created the original costume design and colours, the Peter Parker character, and Spiderman's abilities. Stan Lee took credit, when his only contribution was literally "draw me a spider man". Lawsuit occured many years later, Steve won, but he was so bitter at his treatment, he left mainstream comics forever.
