I think that CoD isn't a perfect example of repetetiveness. They do alot the same across the games but there's more variation than in FNAF by far.

Technicaly, MSRP dictates the price.

Not really. It's just a suggestion. The individual retailer still sets the final price, they can discount it as much as they want. MSRP is purposefully higher than it needs to be so retailers can heavily discount the item and still make a profit off it.
