What about injuries and infection?

About 1/3 of adults have probably had a sex injury at some point during their lives, but that can range from minor to major and none are life threatening.

Your chances of getting an STD vary too wildly to pin down but if you get tested regularly and use common sense when you're sleeping with someone and know your partner you'll be fine, especially since most STDs aren't lethal and are curable.
