the crap fanfic thread
An unknown nobleman of distant times, his decayed body was centered in a mausoleum made of marble & dust. Made for his own. For much of his lifetime, he was of unremarkable nature. Oblivious of what his life would conclude to, he remained weary of his moments in life. Without zest or regard for anything else. As he found no resolution, nor fulfillment, in his journeys throughout the lands.

However, during one such night in what seemed to be one of his common travels, he was unable to secure a place of rest for the night. His search resumed, but he would later be found assassinated; the motives behind the incident unknown, for those behind it was never caught. There were no wounds, nor marking, on the silent cadaver. Forever securing the prevention of what would have been a life of unfulfillment. Buried, he was later forgotten. What would come is the passage of time, and the deterioration of all around him.

Like a shadow fleeing light, a gust of wind & magical energy emerged from a tomb. Amidst the quiet chambers within the edifice, the sound of subdued howling came. The nobleman has awakened from his long slumber. Unaware of what has happened in the years passed.

*Wailing sounds*

Nobleman: "Gah..."

As the nobleman inspects his surroundings, and his own, he came with an inquiry of intense disgust & bewilderment.

Nobleman: "What vile form is this? What could have happen to me to molder in this state of decay, still sustaining my consciousness within it?"

An ominous & feminine voice was heard, throwing the nobleman in a petrified state of shock.

Ominous Voice: "Nobleman Orange. I believe that you're rather inquisitive to know of the matter of this encounter between us?"

Nobleman: "Keep your distance, creature! Or I will send you back to the depths of oblivion!"

With a serene voice, the enigmatic being answered.

Ominous Voice: "Calm yourself, nobleman. I have no intention in harming your recent manifestation in the physical realm. I have given you life beyond death. My gift to you..."

Hearing the ominous voice, the nobleman tried to know more. His puzzlement has evolved to bemused discontent.

Nobleman: "And dare I ask the reason behind my revival? Your dark gift, foul & cruel, it is anything but. And what "life"? I'd rather choose oblivion over this fate. All that you've given me is an existence that God would shun."

Ominous Voice: "My intentions are my own. You will know more... once you've leave this place. Beyond this place of death, it is simply a fallen memorial of your previous life. Better to search for one's own answers, rather than to question any further..."

Nobleman: "Why?"

Ominous Voice: "Why not?"

Nobleman: "..."

After a moment of silence & contemplating, the nobleman uttered.

Nobleman: "Very well, creature. I shall exit this crypt. But know that I hold an inkling of my own beliefs towards you... and your cryptic motives behind all of this."

Ominous Voice: "And with that, you shall. Journey beyond this mausoleum, and you will find that much has changed in your absence. But know this, nobleman. I have offered you a soul, do not think that I cannot withdraw it from you to my will."

Ignorant of the entity's warning, the nobleman continued on. His inquiries were not yet satiated, but merely raised.

Nobleman: "As I exited my very own mausoleum, I was greeted with what appears to be sunlight. But the exposure to it left a burning mark on my previously restored body. Due to the circumstances of my return to life, I claimed not only my life, but also, a curse. This undying existence bears an affliction that has left my skin burning with the touch of heaven's light. For not only was it harmful to my own, I could not find rest. Not even in the rays of the life-giving sun."

The nobleman began to search for more beyond, but his story has yet to unfold before him...
