Yeah, because kriegers are grimdark. Also they're not mechanized infantry regiments like 90% of the guard, so they'd be caught in meelees way more often then the Taurus-equipped EVERYONE ELSE.

Also kriegers are fucking mental and charging with bayonets against chaos marines is one of the stupidest things anyone could do. Everyone else has two braincells and spams their lasgun at them in full auto instead.
